I find it hard to find good comic book quotes on the internet. Book quotes are much easier. And I think it's because people tend to scan comic pages, which then are hard to google. So I'd like us to build a small collection of comic quotes. Please post any worthwhile quotes from comic books. Snippets of dialogue, phrases, monologues, whatever fits. Doesn't have to be your favorite. Just any you come across in your reading that seem worth recording. We have a general purpose quote thread, but I'd like one specific to comics. A complement to our thread of scans of comics, a repository for quotes. Some basic rules to keep it structured: ** One quote per post (but make as many posts as you like) ** Tell us where the quote is from and the author if known ** Try to get the wording exact, rather than approximate. ** Quote should be from a comic (book/strip/graphic novel, any type of comic). Preferably originally from a comic. I'm sure plenty of superpowered people have warned, "Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster". But it's not really a comic book quote. If you come across a good quote not from a comic, send it here: www.classiccomics.org/thread/2179/favorite-quotes-any-mediumI'll start.
