Never having even heard of Blasters Special #1, I ask an innocent question: Is this a knowing "homage" to Rick Jones's summoning of Golden Age Timely Heroes or a blatant rip-off?

Never having even heard of Blasters Special #1, I ask an innocent question: Is this a knowing "homage" to Rick Jones's summoning of Golden Age Timely Heroes or a blatant rip-off? Written by Peter David there's a good amount of knowledgeable humor in the comic, so I'd say homage

Finally, the last cameos I could find is in the current mini series Inferior Five (Vol 2, 2019) by Keith Giffen & Jeff Lemire, While I usually enjoy the work of both creators, this is kinda meh. I dunno, maybe it will read better in trade? Anyhoo - in the 4 issues published to date Brother Power (lookin kinda mummified) has had a cameo on one page of issues #2, #3 & #4. #2 #3 #4

This is the sort of anti-continuity I can get behind. The same character use in a variety of incompatible ways, as the story demands. The LSH story in particular looks fun. I love Saturn Girl’s conservative skirt.
