That is an AWESOME dream, as well as a great reminder to spend time with those you love while you still have them. Have fun! I ended up calling him. We are thinking about seeing Willie in Tennessee on Sept. 27th and meet up with some family that lives near the Venue. I mean, hopefully, that is if my cousins say the venue is cool and fun and are willing to meet up with us. I hope so, it's going to be a BLAST. That sounds like a good time, have fun!

Another rough day today, and I'm feeling very deflated, but being able to talk about it here has helped a lot. I arrived at some things by talking to you guys that I doubt would have been as clear to me otherwise.
Thank you

My daughter revealed today that she and her long-term live-in boyfriend are nearing an impasse. She wants very much to salvage the relationship, but he won't communicate, choosing instead to avoid confrontation. She works nights and he works days, but this week her schedule has allowed her to be home at the same time that he normally is. She hoped for an opportunity to reconnect, have a conversation. No luck. He's made plans with friends, isn't available.
Daughter leaves for three weeks of relief work in Brazil on Thursday and all of this will just hang in the air until she returns. It's heartbreaking. Her mom and I know and really like the guy, consider him family. We can only listen and pledge unconditional support. It really sucks, though. Wish I could just wave a wand and make it all better. That goes for a lot of things.

Came home tonight, and my wife is all warm smiles at me. First chance to approach her alone, I tell her I don't understand where we are with things. Her coy response is that she doesn't either. Been pleasant as punch to me ever since. What the heck? I'm not going to push it. This isn't about my dignity, nor about who has all the power in this relationship. I'm willing to put up with nearly anything to keep our family together. I love her in spite of all this, and I also can't handle a custody battle. I need to be in my children's life full time. So I have no problem with putting up with crap. I'll continue to work my hardest on our relationship, as well as to understand that all of this comes out of her own issues and not a desire to play god with my life. I'll let these antics play themselves out in therapy and hope they'll be addressed and remedies there, and if it keeps our family together, so be it. Hi hmmm sounds like maybe she's trying to make things better if so that's a good sign good thoughts to you man.

R.I.P. Ben E. King, the soul singer best known for Stand By Me has passed. The legacy of your voice will be remembered by millions. Also read the B.B.King is currently in hospice care and battling severe health issues. Best wishes to the legendary bluesman. -M R.I.P.

Been an extremely rough day on so many fronts. (...) I don't really know what to say, shax. I hate it when friends get suckerpunched by life, especially when they're good people. You don't deserve this turn of events. I wish I had some truly helpful insight to offer, but I don't. What I would suggest is that no matter what happens, you stay true to yourself. Keep loving the ones you love, and never forget that you are appreciated. You have friends here, never doubt that, and I am certain you also do in your " civilian" life; you have kids who love you for who you are. Let that certitude keep you afloat when things get rough. Sorry to sound like a fortune cookie; it's just my clumsy way of saying that we're here for you.

So, I have never been to something like this before. I mean, not really. Okay, I have, but it was 20 years ago or so. If this is a thing where we have to buy two day passes to attend and walk around and stand forever, I'm not sure my dad will be up to it. He's 74. Standing forever might not be his thing. pilgrimagefestival.com/tickets^^^^ That is where Willie will be playing. The line-up of musicians looks okay, but I'd really only be going to see Willie. And those prices, EEEK. I don't need passes. I just want tickets to see Willie. I can stay with family while there, so I don't need hotels or all that other stuff.

I'm willing to bet if you hung around outside the fence with a bag of weed, you'd see Willy quickly enough, though.

Thing is, I HAVE TO take my dad to see his favorite musician in all of ever at some point. I have to experience that with him. There's got to be a way I can get tickets for just the day Willie performs. I am not 18 years old, so walking around for two days, outside, place to place, smelling different smells of different people and stuff...I'm just not up for that.

Might make more sense to drive a state away to enjoy Willie for a single night at a more reasonable price: www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome-psyapi2&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8&q=willie%20nelson%20schedule&oq=willie%20nelson%20schedule&aqs=chrome..69i57j0.3472j0j7
