Just checking in and thanks for the invite Shaxper, amazing job your doing here. I'm diggin' it already, with the layout of the site and the extra large avatars and all.
You may have previously known me as Brian Gravity or simply BAL, but decided to go with my first name for now, mostly due to a bout of laziness and a lack of creative spark.
I plan to be active and post a few threads up, and kudos to anyone that can figure out who that is in my new avatar (hint: It's not Luke!)

Hello. The same sort of thing happened at DC's old Vertigo board from a sub-forum for each title(along with a "General Discussion") thread to one huge General Discussion thread. Most of the 100 Bullets readers wound up on a forum very much like this one.
Hope things work out for all of you.

I read about what happened with that Titans cover but I never imagined it would spiral into Doing a "Crisis" on Cbr. I took it as "the straw that broke the camels back" not just a singular incident but a steady decline for years where finally Jonah had had enough. Honestly don't see what the two have to do with each other. I can understand his feelings on the matter, as the responses to her well-thought out critique of that awful cover were disgusting. But the way he's going about it seems like he's trying to do a C-section with a chain saw. |

I already disagreed with locking the threads discussing the Titans cover.
I think if we ever want the discussion about gender roles in comics to move forward, we need to have the conversation. Not end it and then delete whatever progress may have been made. Mods should keep the conversation civil, not silent.

May have been a thing with English being my second language and Jonah having a rough day.
I agreed with him on the "first amendment" misinterpretation and he got defensive.
Then I actually disagreed with him and made a post that I really did not mean to be sarcastic about threads like the Horror Movie thread on the old Classic Board and the Food Porn thread were the kinds of threads that attracted more well-rounded individuals than the pure comicbook fanboys would would make threats over a cover critique. So I disagreed with him saying that CBR was not for those posts.
He told me to "knock off the sarcasm." I stated that I did not intend sarcasm. He said "yes you did!" I told him I was disappointed that after all the years of me posting there, he would accuse me of lying about whether I was being sarcastic or not.
He deleted that post and I got booted. The message read that I had a temp ban for being "repeatedly combative". Which does sound kind of bad-ass I guess.

May favorite bit on the "No Thanks" thread was when somebody made a post like "guys, the existence of this thread alone should make us optimistic about the new CBR." Then something like 5 posts later, Jonah gets back in and says "This thread gets deleted at 2 o'clock". At this point, I am not sure I'll check back in when my ban is over. |

We have fine wines, food, tiki drinks and food a plenty. The temp ban seems like a 7 Day ban to me. Frankly I'm getting ready to delete my account there. |
