The way I see it is if something coming from an unknown # is truly important, they can leave a voicemail and you can get back to them Yep, this is me. I never answer an unknown number. But what if one day, the National Lottery calls you to inform you of a big win! (Just kidding, I presume they have a better way of communicating about a win)

(Just kidding, I presume they have a better way of communicating about a win) Pretty certain you have to initiate the communication. Otherwise, the conversation would probably go, "To deliver your million dollars, I need you bank routing number, account number, PIN number and any related passwords, so I can arrange the bank transfer."

In today's WTF moment, we were driving back from visiting my wife's folks and we saw a car coming in the other direction that was "wearing a dog-suit" i.e. had coverings on it that made it look like a dog and then had floppy ears hanging off the sides from the windows that looked like dog ears, whiskers in the form of tubing on the grill on the front of the car, and as it passed we saw a tail on the back of the car.
This was an absolute first for us. One of the craziest (benign) things I have ever seen. I'm not even sure how someone would come up with this idea, let along why they would do it, but I guess they're doing them, whomever they are. I was driving, and Mrs. MRP didn't have a phone out, so we didn't get a pic, but I cannot even get google to return anything like it in a search. If Mrs. MRP weren't there to corroborate it, I might have thought I was hallucinating.

I think the most infamous series of commercial with an action star are the ones with Arnold in them There's also a bunch with Tommy lee Jones, which I enjoy. Always thought the guy had a knack for comedy even though he mostly played serious roles

The Tommy Lee Jones Boss commercials are brilliant parodies of daily life in Japan.

Speaking of Japanese commercials, nothing beats this Sakeru Gummy ad campaign from 2017:
It's a whole distilled telenovella.

So I have Covid…again. This is actually only the second time. Came down with a really bad cough and headache Monday morning and figured I’d better get it checked in case, since I had a jury trial scheduled to start Wednesday after a full day of Court Tuesday and preferred not to infect two counties worth of people. Doc-in-a-box confirmed, so now I hang out for five days.
I’m actually not nearly as sick as last time (that kicked my butt), but the timing on this was awful since I’m still behind from my trip to D.C.

Ugh, sorry to hear, Slam. I got it for the second time last month, too. It was way less severe than the first time, but still sapped my energy for a couple weeks. I hope you recover quickly.

I just came down with covid for a second time as well. Not feeling that bad, mostly just a cough and a low fever that comes and goes

My chest and stomach really hurt from all the hacking. Still better than the first time when I was on home oxygen for two weeks.
