Yeah, I aim for finding the right balance when I'm on track. Not even trying and eating what I want is only enjoyable in the moment. I feel like crap afterwards, both physically and emotionally. I also don't like how clothes fit when I get too loose with it, and while I'm not overly concerned with how I look to an excessive degree, there's a point after which I genuinely don't like what I see. Plus yeah, the whole I don't want someone else raising my kids or looking after my wife. I also like this life thing. That said, I'm also not going to never have a cookie again. I just need to get things under control and then get a balanced routine going on. I'm still searching for the optimal maintenance mode plan for myself that works, allows enough wiggle room to enjoy things, and that I will actually follow through on. All of the above. |

Tornado warning sounded at 4:45 this morning. Wind and rain got pretty intense and there was a touch down not that far from us, but we're ok and it seems to have move passed us even if the warning is still on for our county until 5:30. -M All okay now? |

Tornado warning sounded at 4:45 this morning. Wind and rain got pretty intense and there was a touch down not that far from us, but we're ok and it seems to have move passed us even if the warning is still on for our county until 5:30. -M
Glad things are good. We were under a tornado watch last night, and it continues through this morning. Thankfully nothing actually formed yet. The temps are supposed to drop 20 degrees over the next 2-3 hours, from 65 to 45F, and on down to 30 this evening, and the worst of the headwinds pushed through last night, so I think we are almost past the favorable tornado temps and air current patterns
The precipitation edge of the front is moving in quick, and stepping outside, it doesn't "feel" or "look" like tornado weather anymore, like it did yesterday. Those of you who live in areas with frequent tornado activity know what I mean. If you're accustomed to it, you don't need an official "watch" to tell you when tornadoes are possible.

It's supposed to rain somewhere between "a lot" and "f*** this city in particular" around here. It was supposed to start tonight but it's already drizzling so let's see how this goes...

In NYC it’s been a mild winter with many days above 50. Rain is supposed to be around today, but no complaints from me about the general temps.

We've had snow again, yesterday and today. 'tis not so deep as a well, nor so wide as a church-door, but 'tis enough, 'twill serve.

Yes, thank you. Our lights flickered and we could hear the wind shaking the awning over our front and side door and hear the rain hitting the sides of the house it was coming down so hard, but we had no damage that I am aware of (I still need to check on the section of siding we had repaired after storm damage in December to make sure it held up). There were 2 reported tornados touching down in the county, but outside the city itself, though the storm track took right down the path of I 70 which is like 3 minutes from our house. I'm seeing that some power lines were downed, there's a lot of power outages, and a lot of folks out in the country part of the county lost barns, shed, outbuilding and such, but our area was spared. But as others have said, temps dropped massively. It was 60 degrees this morning when the storm passed through and currently 32 degrees as the cold front driving that storm has settled in. Of course, we're supposed to be back up to 70 by Monday. -M |

Mornings have on average been upper fifties with it usually getting to mid 60's and 70's by afternoon. I love early spring/early fall feeling weather around here so much, but then it either gets too damn hot or too damn cold. There's really no good middle ground in the deep south |
