I was discussing with Shaxper whether I should start my various Cover threads ( Homage, Impossible, Scary) and also the Sexy Covers thread ( which I didn't start but mostly contribute to ) over starting in 2017. I feel that many new members might find it unwieldy going through up to 60K posts . Please give me your thoughts and vote.
I'll lock the vote on December 14th

The only drawback I see is that you'll get a lot of repeats because folks won't realize something was posted in the previous year. For what it's worth, Sexy Comic Covers remains my absolute least favorite thread at the CCF, but we also pride ourselves on not being a police state  |

One thread of which it is a joy for me is the Comic Scans seeing pictures of Comic Book Heroes in various poses and different settings has been a pleasant surprise to me. I love the Impossible One very much because it's makes me curious of our Members can come up with and that's been an very interesting thread to see. I do like the Scary and the Sexy one but in my views of Sexy - I prefer finding tasteful pictures and most of them from the Golden Age of Comics of which it's was my era that I find art done in good taste.
Do whatever your heart desires ... but I like to see this continued to 2017.

Maybe, but I don't know if anyone new is going to review 100+ pages of previous submissions before posting something. So, you're talking about a New 52 style reboot? A thread "Crisis", if you will? Well, I say "no!" Let the old continuity stand. Don't try to sucker us in with your all-new collectible issue #1s and shiny variant covers! Leave the threads and their legacy alone and let the fans enjoy them for their rich history and sense of continuity.
For what it's worth, I kinda know what shaxper means about the Sexy Comics thread. I personally find it an embarrassment to have, what is essentially a T&A thread in the forum, but I also understand that a lot of members do like that thread. So, fair enough.

Naw, keeping it going as is. I like to look back. Hell last time I did I noticed I got the OP's original comic cover (in the sexy comics covers) in a lot of comics I bought earlier this year and have actually read the contents.
Also, I have no shame admitting I like cheesecake. And I might post more guys if I knew what gal and guys like in guys, besides what pip posts. So it may seem one sided, but what's a heterosexual guy to know about sexy guys?
Unless it's Antonio Banderas.
I also like the scan thread for the same reasons Juggernaut mentioned. There's a lot of cool stuff in that thread.

See, I don't consider it an embarassment, for the simple reason that so many publishers use sexy covers to market their books. |

When I used to monitor the thread , I noticed that the Sexy Cover thread was getting between 80-100 hits per day. The other threads a lot less , like 40 a day.

That's was me showing Korge in one JLA Adventure that I shouldn't had post it in the 1st place. Sorry about that and I should had known better. |

I think the thread if more useful if you don't re-start it. New people are unlikely to go through the whole thread, true, but giving them the choice is better than not, I'd think.
