So, when will you actually know who's won? If all goes smoothly, we should know the result, based on a combination of exit polls and actual results, by 12am EST (so, about 5am GMT). However, it should be pretty clear which way this thing is gonna go before that...say, by the early hours of Wednesday morning, UK time.

So, when will you actually know who's won? It depends how it goes. They don't release any results until all the polls are closed, so that people don't see their candidate doing poorly and not show up (I think that started with Reagan-Mondale).. so I'd expect around 11 PM- 12 AM EST if all goes smoothly

I thought we got to see each state release it's results in real time on the TV coverage. Don't some pundits try to call it, hours before the official result? How is that possible if poll results are secret until 12am EST (after Alaska's polls close)?

I forgot Maine and Nebraska are split. For sure 1 district in Nebraska (the non-Omaha rest of the state) will go Trump. Modifying my vote to 207 (or, I'm looking at Pharozonk's paper...)

Once it adds up to 270 electoral votes, the ultimate winner is projected

I'm going to say he won't break 200.
So let's say 198.
It would be nice to find out that telling transparent, childish lies about Muslims isn't a viable campaign strategy.

Just got back from voting, so I totally have the pulse of this election. Therefore I'm guessing Trump will get 231 electoral votes.

They seem to have changed it a bit.. they were showing stuff for states that had poll still open, so I guess that's not the case anymore.

The major networks don't call it till that state's poll closes. Or at least they haven't for decades
