And the more I'm looking at it...the more limited it is. It's really more of a sampler thing. A few issues here and there...an early arc. Probably not deep enough to be worth it to me. I'm hoping it will grow over time. Netflix instant started out basically with random junk and public domain stuff and grew from their as they acquired more and more licenses.

I think Marvel Unlimited is actually perfect for people who have a low commitment level to Marvel books, but still want to follow it to a small degree. As MRP pointed out, it breaks down to less than $6 a month. If you only read two current release books, you've already gotten more than your money's worth. In fact, that's pretty much the reason why I subscribed to it. While I don't like Marvel's current output as a whole, there are books here and there that I enjoy or want to at least check out. MU lets me do that at a reasonable price, and if I don't end up passionately liking the books, there's no downside of piles of physical copies that I have to store or sell off. Heck, maybe you just like Spider-Man and want to keep up with his adventures. Amazing Spider-Man double ships at $3.99 a copy. At retail, you'd have to pay $8 a month (give or take pull list discounts, taxes, etc) just to read ASM instead of $6 a month for MU.
I still buy physical comics these days, but it's mostly for creator-owned books, older newsprint-era books, or collected editions of stories that I particularly want to keep.

I've thought about it more today, and I'm pulling the trigger on Unlimited.
Sure I've already got more that I can read, but there's still gold in there I haven't read yet, and I like the idea.
Honestly, there's so much prime material not coming from the Big Two right now that I could go without reading from either of them and be happy with all the "indies".
I say that and I'm downloading Rebirth # 1 after this, but still, IF the Big Two didn't exist, which will never happen, there are truckloads of good material from the featured publishers here.

BTW, FWIW, your Unlimited subscription includes 50 downloads / month.
That comes out to 12 cents an issue.
Just saying
It's good for not only trying out new series, but plugging some holes in.

I think that just means that you're allowed to download and store 50 comics onto your device to read offline. You can read as many comics you want if you stream them while connected to the web. And I could be wrong on this, but I don't you can keep those books. I.e., if you downloaded 50 books, you can't download more unless you delete some that you already have. The purpose of this feature is to let people have limited access to the service while they are offline, e.g. on an airplane.

I'm testing it to see.
While online you can read as many as you like, but, what I read very specifically in the interview with the CEO said 50 / month.
That means download.
We'll see in a month if that issue I downloaded is still there.
CORRECTION : It says 50 issue download limit, nothing in there about 50 per month.

You'd think their marketing departments would want to differentiate their services from each other...

I might check this out, I really like Marvel Unlimited but if it's limited to just small tastes of runs I don't think its for me.

There are some decent arcs, but you're not going to get whole runs.
