I was watching TV and a new movie just came out ... another RAMBO movie coming out and it's at movie theatres everywhere. I think I will pass this one up.

Will be seeing Rambo: Last Blood this weekend with a couple of friends and lunch after. Seems it is getting okay reviews from what I hear though I refuse to read any of them until after seeing the movie. I like Sly and enjoyed all the Rambo movies so might as well watch the old timer (which I myself am) doing what he does best: taking out the bad guys.

Looks like a little bit of Pirates of the Caribbean and The Mummy in this one's DNA, but looks fun.

I missed those days ... my theatre had great Kettle Korn and you can get an extra large container and large soft drink for $3.00 and that's like a meal itself. My friends from work did this on a monthly basis and we all have a late night dinner before heading home. What memories that I had ...

MIDWAYI just can't wait to see this film in a week and I just saw a TV Commercial showcasing it and it's about a sea battle in WW2 back in 1942. Looks mighty fine and great scenes too. I heard some good things about it and looks like it will be a fine film to see.

Went by myself Saturday with a large soda and bag of popcorn to enjoy MIDWAY. What a blast of a movie it was! A real weekend big screen spectacular that fills your view with explosions and roaring planes, bombs exploding, ships exploding and damn next to Star Trek this is the best version of Enterprise you will see on the movie screen! A stellar cast intent on telling the story and NOT being the STAR of the movie. Ed Skrein begins as kind of putt offish but he grows on you. Truly loved Dennis Waid as Admiral Halsey and while i am not usually a big Woody Harrelson fan his portrayal of Nimitz is quite good. A wonderful mix of character driven pieces combined with some truly stunning CGI war effects. You will become wrapped up emotionally and being uplifted right from your seat cheering as the fights ensue. And the Japanese are not simply portrayed as the bad guys, they are given a life and humanity beyond villains. This is a must see upon the big screen and I will be seeing it again (likely over Thanksgiving weekend) and await for the DVD!!! Well worth seeing.
And on a side note: what the hell is wrong with Hollywoood that Emerich had to get funding from China in order to have enough for it being made? Costing $100 million approximately it it has made around $22 million over this opening weekend and is ranked #1 for the moment.
EDIT: Yes, I did re-watch the original Midway his Hston, Fonda and others on Sunday.

I was blown away and the acting is amazing and totally real to me.

Saw Charlie's Angels on Saturday and quite enjoyed it. Very nice updating with some twists for modern times that entertains, is very stylish and slick looking with a good plot and actors. It was refreshing to see a movie with some actual ideas and creativity which did NOT rely upon mindless action and explosions for telling the story. I read that it is considered a flop already based upon the overall weekend take but it might receive a slight boost when it goes to DVD and online viewing/streaming, who knows?!? It was fast, funny, sexy, gorgeous entertainment for the eyes and mind providing a change from all of the other spy and action movies. It has all of the fun and creativity the Bond movies used to have.
Really a shame that it seems ONLY the big blockbuster style of movies is considered as "bankable" these days. This new version of Angels would work really well as a series on a cab;e/satellite channel. And YAY for Elizabeth Banks standing proud against all the bad reviews/negativity from folks of this 3rd iteration of Angels when Batman, Spider-Man, Superman have all had umpteen revamping.

Everything happens for a reason. I've seen people raving about this trailer online, but I gotta say that I think this looks s**t. It looks and feels nothing like a Ghostbusters film. It's not funny. It features none of the original cast, save for Bill Murray's voiceover (and apparently the film will only feature the original stars in small cameos). It's not set in Manhattan. And worst of all, it seems that the main thrust of the story is focusing on a bunch of kids, kicking supernatural butt in small town America. This looks for all the world to me like someone chasing the Stranger Things dollars, but cynically tying the Ghostbusters' franchise to it to sweeten the pot and make it a hit.

Godzilla Movie.com reports from a very reliable source that @mechagodzilla will be a part of the Godzilla/Kong movie in 2021. Good news and a natural progression considering the new Titan revivals occurring world wide would require humanity needing to find some way of getting into the game.
