I think Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz are both beautiful.
...I don't think Zoe Kravitz is all that pretty.
(Beauty of course is completely subjective)

It's fun to dump on them, and yeah, the singer's head got too big for a while there, but listening back now, Creed had some legitimately solid music. Tremonti is a riff machine. There, I said it! Now don't tell anyone I said I like them now.

Creed is one of the least offensive post-grunge bands out there.

Creed is an abomination. The fact that other bands that followed were somehow even worse does not absolve them. It might even sully them more. They were like a John the Baptist paving the way for the antichrist Nickelback.

Creed is grunge? I’m not sure about that. But I like Arms Wide Open. After watching their Behind The Music I can definitely relate to him.
Nickleback is fine. I don’t know why they get so much hate.

That's what I'm saying, though, Creed is not an abomination. It became a meme to hate them before it became a more deserved meme to hate Nickelback, but they had some good songwriting and music happening. Their guitar player, Mark Tremonti, is a tremendous talent. These days his work with Alter Bridge is more highly regarded than the Creed stuff, but that's mostly because the singer got hugely pretentious there for a while and they were ridiculously overplayed.
After letting it rest for a long time and coming back with fresh ears, it holds up better than I would have thought, particularly their pre-fame material. I'm still not crazy about their second album that had With Arms Wide Open and was peak ego for them, but even that has a good song or two. I always liked their third one, mostly because it sounded the least like their previous stuff, ha.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not joining the fan club and putting a sticker on my car, but I can at least enjoy ~half the first album now.
And Adam, yeah, Creed is more "post-grunge" than grunge. You can hear the influence of grunge, but that's not what they're playing. The Nickelback hate gets overblown, too, but they annoy me more than Creed for sure. I think it's a combination of their fame/success ratio being way higher than the quality of their music deserves, awful sonic production choices, and some cringey lyrics, and take all of that and overplay it. You couldn't get away from them in the 2000s.

I'm with you on Creed and Nickleback mostly. I'm not a fan, but I don't hate them or their music necessarily. Some songs are okay, but mostly not my type of music even at the peak of their popularity. I mostly heard what songs I've heard from both bands from overplay on the radio.

Not sure if anyone else collect stamps...but I think this is the most expensive stamp in the US post office right now, a face value of $26.35 for Priority Mail. Some indifferent people toss them out but these are highly sought after by stamp collectors as they are hard to find in good postally used condition, without any flaws.
Had 3 people begging me for some today, collectors on the other side of the world. So I'm trying to organise a good swap....as some places are getting their postal services back in check.
There, I put it in an album.

My mom collected stamps for a while and I kind of did too by proxy. Never really understood the appeal of such a hobby, but that's just me. I'm sure some people look at folks like us who love and collect comics and are like "geez, what the hell is he doing with his life?"

Even after a year of wearing a mask I still have to stop myself for asking for my change in "unmarked bills".
I could never be a superhero. Not because I am old fat and out of shape. I have a hard time wearing a mask all day.
When I would go into a grocery store and forget my mask they would give me a paper bag to wear over my head. Funny they used to do this before the pandemic.

My dad is a stamp collector, so while I obviously enjoy collecting as well, that was one thing I could never get interested in. I inherit it when he's gone, and I already told him I'm selling it almost immediately and splurging on some crazy comic book buy. His collection has been appraised at between $35-40K, so I'm thinking something REALLY crazy that I've always wanted but never had that kind of money to buy.

"Change"? I don't think I have actually used any real folding money (or coins) for a year now.

But what if you need to use a pay phone?

Yeah, the things you see in the corner of the candy store where you buy your comics.
