Uncle Ben is coming Back ! Is this something you JUST found out? Nah, just joking. I guess Peter Parkers guilt motivation goes away if he does come back.

I'm so far removed from the current incarnation of Marvel that, even though Subby is one of my favorite characters, I just don't care. I felt the same way when they announced they were killing off Johnny Storm: whatever, he'll be back.
Cei-U! I can't summon the damn I'm supposed to give!

This is how I feel about it, too, as I stated earlier. However, I do agree with whoever it was that said that Marvel will bring him back, or at least the position will be filled, but most likely not be Namor. It'll be Namorita, Namora, or some female or minority character as this has been their track record this year. Which, whatever, I probably won't read it because that is lame and insulting as hell to women and minorities, but whatever. People seem to slop up those scraps and request more, so those folks will be happy for Marvel's lack of creativity and basic appeasing.

Uncle Ben is dead. But his wild rice remains.

I'm sure if they make someone the 'new Namor' it'll be either a brand new character, or Namorita... certainly a female.
I'm actually happy they killed off the evil, totally out of character Namor.. hopefully he'll be back to normal when he comes back.
The surprising part is that it's Robinson that is writing.. he handled Namor REALLY well in All-New Invaders, and even made passing reference to the Cabal stuf.

Marvel super heroes have been dead to me for many years. And I have no personal plans to revive them. They lead a nice long life and enough is enough

And this is why I have no issue with it, really. My *only* issue with them killing off Namor is if they say "Dead is DEAD" and then we never get him back, or it is a decade later. I never did get caught back up on my ANI. I liked what I had, though, but Namor hadn't really been the star of the book where I left off. Main focus was Jim Hammond. I hear it mainly always was?

Yeah, that's probably true. They did have a good moment towards the end where Namor talks to old Steve Rogers and shakes hands with him, seeingly burying the hatchet with the Illuminati/Cabal stuff.

This is one of the biggest reasons why I stay away from most modern comics, at least from the Big 2.
This stuff is becoming constant.

Even after the genocidal flooding of Wakanda?Rogers sure holds some grudges longer than others! That happened while he was possessed by the Phoenix. Which, AvX was just an AWFUL event. And I completely get why X-fans think the Avengers behaved hypocritically, but, heh, Marvel knew everyone would get their panties wadded over that. That's what they WANTED.

You know what I would be okay with (but they'll NEVER do because these types of characters are not high in demand these days) is if they brought back a more Atlas era/golden age Namor. Maybe more Atlas era. If they're looking to get rid of the arrogant King of the Sea that is so short tempered now, then Atlas era would be pretty fantastic.
JUST GIVE ME ATLAS ERA NAMOR FOREVER AND I WILL BE HAPPY.
