I always enjoyed the Eagles. Don't give The Dude a ride in your cab...

Abe Vigoda-I thought he'd live forever. Mark Evanier's website from time to time would link to an Abe Vigoda page to see if he was still alive. It changed today isabevigodadead.com/

Real shame to hear about Paul Kantner. I always liked the cut of his jib in interviews and he wrote some truly weird and wonderful songs. This is "Martha", one of my favourite Paul Kantner-penned Jefferson Airplane songs, accompanied by some very cool vintage footage of the band goofing around...

I have to resign myself to the fact that all these performers I grew up with during the 1960s and where highly influential on my musical tastes are now in their mid-70s or more and will be passing away at an alarming pace. Its hard to adjust to that fact when they made their mark as part of a youth culture movement (and did not trust anyone past 30-snicker snicker). And could Keith Richards really be the Last Man Standing?

Legendary German inventor Artur Fischer died at the age of 96. My brother and I owned a Fischertechnik box as kids, but we did not end up as engineers like (supposedly) many other kids who did.
