R. I. P. Don Williams. Country Music Hall-of-Famer Don Williams has passed away at the age of 78. I'll admit that I was never the biggest Don Williams fan. But I'll be damned he didn't come across as one of the most likeable guys in show-biz. And if his music never set my world on fire, it was always well-crafted and listenable. I'm not a country fan at all, really, but one of the few movies I had on VHS back in the early days of home video was Smokey & The Bandit II and I never once fast-forwarded through his appearance. So there's that. |

RIP to Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry who was killed today in a helicopter crash. He was 50.
