Joe Santos , actor famous for The Rockford Files, is dead at 84. "Okay, Jimbo, Dennis. I know you're in there. And I know you know it's ticket season again. Policeman's Ball and all that. So come to the door when I knock this time. I know you're in there."

The Reaper had a busy day today, in addition to Joe Garagiola (who was the voice of Saturday baseball for me growing up), we lost Ken Howard (the actor who played the coach on White Shadow-one of my favorite short lived shows of the 70s) and rap pioneer Phife Dawg of a Tribe Called Quest today as well. Rest well gentleman.

I'm sad to announce the passing of Dutch football legend Johan Cruijff at age 68, after a battle with lung cancer.
I'm also saddened by the news of Phife Dawg's death; gone way too soon and a great loss for the hip hop world.

Keith Emerson, mostly known for his Emerson, Lake and Palmer group and later solo work helped form an important early prog rock band early in his career The English group, The Nazz, got a lot of radio play in the early FM days with this hit Just seen this, ish, and I'm sorry to say that you're incorrect. Keith Emerson was never in The Nazz. They were an American band that featured Todd Rundgren (is that who you were thinking of?). Emerson was in the British band The Nice, who had a big hit with a psychedlic instrumental version of Leonard Bernstein's song "America" from West Side Story. "Open Your Eyes" by The Nazz is a fantastic record though!

Garry Shandling passed away at age 66. Also for soccer fan, dutch football legend Johan Cruijff has passed away today. He was diagnosed with lung cancer a year ago. This is kind of shocking, 66 is not old. These deaths seem to be coming faster than we can post them.

He did a bit about seeing his doctor to complain of a burning sensation in his penis. The doctor replied, "Oh, don't worry; that just means someone's talking about it."
Terribly funny guy. Can't believe he's gone.
