Several of you have blogs.
Which ones, and what has your experience been putting one together and maintaining it ?

Several of you have blogs. Which ones, and what has your experience been putting one together and maintaining it ? My blogs can be found in my signature. Putting one up was a piece of cake, really, and I was surprised at how many hoops I had to jump through to set up a website later on. The blog was so easy! The most difficult part, and among the most important ones I'm sure, was being able to deliver new material on a regular basis. For People in white coats, I had a new cartoon up pretty much daily for more than two years, which king of burned me up eventually. I must admit that the lack of response from visitors is a bit of a bummer... I wanted to attain glory, dammit!

That lack of recognition for your efforts would kind of be a bummer, like you said, esp on top of continually putting new material out.
I didn't realize you had a blog until you mentioned it. I like it !

I bought this for 94 cents in walmart and I have a question. Are there any other companies that still make miniature toy cars , or does Hot Wheels own the Market ?

Pretty sure Matchbox is still kicking around but I don't think they get any deals like Mattel/Hotwheels with their licensing of various movies and hero related items. I would say Hotwheels reigns supreme.
I am annoyed by them though...they used to make quality metals cars with some plastic ones. Now, all plastic. It is rare to fine one made with a metal bottom and I consider those gems. You can pay $3-4 for a specialty line of hotwheels that are all metal but they tend to not look as nice unfortunately.

Dammit, we don't have WalMart here!
"Aww, that's bad."
But I have a girlfriend who lives in the US!
"Oh, that's good!"

Didn't Mattel buy the Matchbox brand a while back and 'fold it into' Hot Wheels?

New question: do the initials "NC" have any significance in silver age Marvel?
I ask because one of my crazy theories would be bolstered if I could use the sentence "Zap Reed in NC" (an anagram of Prince Dezan, an important Skrull). but it only works if NC means something. I checked out North Carolina, but according to the Marvel Wiki, nothing ever happened there. Any ideas?

Nova Corps?

Ooh, that might work! Because the longest ever FF story featured the Nova Corps versus the Skrulls (covering FF 204 to 214) and that was where Reed got zapped with an ageing ray. So I wonder, has "nova corps" ever been abbreviated to NC in the comics?

Another question: what's the easiest way of getting hold of Kirby's Captain Victory series? I assumed it would be collected somewhere cheap, but can't find anywhere.

Which of the Golden Age archives have the best stories? Starman? Sandman? Green Lantern? Spectre? Dr. Fate? Flash? Hawkman? I want to read some golden age stuff and don't know where to start.

Of the ones you listed I loved the Golden Age Hawkman & Green Lantern stories the most.
