Finished up Dynamite's Sherlock Holmes vs. Harry Houdini. It was a good read, although I liked the previous Dynamite Holmes books a little bit more than this one.

Used an Amazon gift card I got from my in-laws for my birthday to order The Complete Valerian Vol. 1 and Autumnlands Vol. 2. First books I've picked up in 3 months, but I won't be getting uch the rest of the year as we get the budget back in order after medical and house expenditures.

I felt bad that I had to cancel my pull at the local shop while in the hospital. I had left a message saying I would pick up what was already in the file when I got back on my feet, but the Sunday clerk never passed that particular part of the message to the owner, and they ended up eating the cost of the books I had on file. SO I took a ride down to the shop today with a little birthday money in hand and bought a few trades to put some of the money they lost on me back in the coffers so to speak. Being ona sci-fi kick, this is what I picked up...
Fear Agent Vol. 6: Out of Step
Prophet Vol. 2: Brothers
Mind MGMT Vol. 3: The Homemaker

OOhhhh.. Kros looks really good.. that a kickstarter thing? I don't recall seeing it coming. Read Lucas Stand today... not bad. Cool high concept, not great delivery. An ex-marine that's not adjusting to civilian life gets recruited by a demon to travel through time and kill even worse demons as a purgatory to get to heaven. I think if this was an ongoing (perhaps it was meant to be) it could have been developed more and worked well, but as is it felt rushed and was a bit muddled.

OOhhhh.. Kros looks really good.. that a kickstarter thing? I don't recall seeing it coming. Yep it was a Kickstarter. It's available via Indiegogo now. I'm hopeful it will get picked up by someone for wider distribution, if that's what Ostrander & Mandrake want. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but it's a beautiful book just looking through it.
