Upon reading the first issue of Paper Girls, I can honestly say this will be a new favorite. When I read the first two pages, I knew right away:

Reading the Nu52 I, Vampire, oh hell yes this is fantastic, with amazing art by Andrea Sorrentino. Why I didnt notice this 4 years ago is beyond me. Of course I was probably too busy with the amazing new direction DC took with there tired old characters, along with the incredible array of new talent like Rob Liefield on Important books. I thought it was good until the JL Dark x-over then it spawned a new direction which I was totally uninterested in and dropped the book, and it seemed so did a lot of other folk as it was cancelled soon thereafter even though the first volume of the trade was a NY Times bestseller. -M New 52 had a lot of good books that were far too short lived for their own good. Regardless of what anyone says, I actually kind of liked JL Dark. If there's one thing DC does right, it's magic/supernatural/occult (which is probably why I prefer Dr.Fate over Dr.Strange, aside from me being an obvious sucker for an Egyptian mythos). Just wish they had a stronger "cosmic" presence because a man can only subsist on Green Lantern for so long

Batman '66/Green Hornet didn't do much for me except... Oh My God, the covers! I've always been hot and cold on Alex Ross, but there will never be a better artist for the Adam West Batman.

Does anyone read Wicked + Divine? I've been hearing good things about it on various comic podcasts and the concept seems right up my ally.

It's good, but later on it starts to mirror Watchmen pretty closely to where I just lost interest. Basic gist is that these classic gods of various religions reincarnate into teenagers at the cost of greatly shortening their hosts' lifespan Odin, visually speaking, is my favorite

Superman/Wonder Woman vol. 2.
I think there might be something good in here somewhere but DC Trades are confusing nonsense so I don't know. The best I can tell (And this is never explained) is that there are a bunch of issues from two different crossovers - some of them from Superman/Wonder Woman, some not - dumped here. I'm not sure how either of them begin or end, and I they don't tell me what to read next to find this information.
Just astonishing incompetence on every possible level. How does this happen?

It seriously does not tell me that. 2/3rds of the way through the book it has Wonder Woman offering to make a deal with Mongul, and then it stops and tells part of a different story which I assume is from a different crossover. (World's End?) Such a mess.

The other story sounds like it's from the Future's End special that they did for every book that September.

Haven't started Wicked + Divine yet, even though I just ordered the 3rd volume: I have high hopes based on Phonogram I and Suburban Glamour, the two Gillen/Mckelvie things I have read so far.
Right now I'm reading Jacques Tardi's Le Cri du peuple (2001-04), which I'll count as a modern comic even though it falls just outside the ten-year rule, if that's what we're supposed to be following (do we have a rule?). I'm reading it slowly, a few pages every night, as there's a lot of French slang in there I don't understand (and is often not to be found in dictionaries or google translate). Beautiful artwork and a story that deals with an historical event I think is both interesting and important - the doomed Paris Commune of 1871.

Read the BPRD 1946-1948 hardcover collection containing the 1946, 1947, and 1948 minis and a couple of random stories all detailing the early years of Professor Bruttonholm's career with the BPRD. Next up in my Hellboyverse reading is the Hellboy and the BPRD 1952 trade.
Also read the seventh volume of The Sixth Gun-Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt's weird west series that I am really enjoying.
Recently read my way through most of the Marvel Comic stuff-started with Annihilation last year, and read through Realm of Kings, including the Abnett/Lanning Guardians of the Galaxy series and the Abnett Nova series. Next up is the Thanos Imperative mini, but I decided to take a break before diving back into that.
Other fairly recent stuff recently read-Volume 5 of Fear Agent, Rick Remender's sci-fi series in the vein of pulp/EC sci-fi that is really good stuff. Several artists rotate through arcs, but the overall quality remoans high on the art.
A little more than 10 years old, but very modern in it's feel was Global Frequency by Warren Ellis, read through both trades of that, and the fact that every issue was a standalone story but built a much larger tapestry was very much appreciated.
a few other modern odds and end, stuf fI have subs to or pick up off the newsstands when I See it-Heavy Metal 278, Archie 5, Dr. Strange #4 (Aaron/Bachalo) and also some of the Marvel Star Wars stuff via Unlimited or tpb borrowed from the library (really grooving to Alex Maleev's art on the Lando mini).

Power reading through All-New Captain America/Sam Wilson: Captain America just for the sake of getting caught up. It's definitely better than I expected and kind of harkens back to the book's glory days during the silver/bronze age.

You're pretty great yourself - and have impeccable taste in comics artists.
