Thanks AA... must be something Jungian. Or a meme if that's what the kids call it these days.

Huh, really? What is the theme? Playing this game, I always keep a few ideas in my back pocket, just in case. I like themes that alternate between narrow and wider latitudes. Last week berk came up with a nifty idea that was pretty tight in scope so I thought I'd go the other way. And sea monsters, they are not quite gorillas, but they are pretty damn timeless. I've always had a spot for them. They invite drama! I haven't visited the contest page at our erstwhile digs in a dog's age, a couple years probably. The other game's featured theme is water. So there's a lot of ocean creatures in the submissions. Yep, they are similar.

Slightly late to the party, but lets run with a gorgeous Vic Prezio painted cover from one of Dell's most outre titles.

It's beginning to look as if Dell viewed Sea Monsters on their covers the way DC viewed Apes, put them on the cover and the book would sell more.

Well, every issue of Kona featured the hero battling some kind of monster, so it was only a matter of time before he got around to battling a sea monster. If the theme had been giant ants, Kona would have had a cover for that as well.

Lot of nice covers, but this is an easy pick for me anyway this week: Ish Kabibble. Love that cover.

Creature from the Black Lagoon is my all time favorite movie monster so my vote is for DubipR. Lots of great covers this week too.

A lot of really wonderfully goofy covers this week. I saw a sponge man , a monster with a bald spot and a green Superman trying to knock Superman's head off. But I will vote for the4thpip this week. There's something ultra goofy about the Octopus man holding an octopus on a leash to attack the Sea devils.

I'm voting for foxley this week, because I can't take my eyes off the non-humanoid sea creature with a flipper AND an opposable thumb on the same appendage.
