Knocking on the door of the 40 lb club, are we? Not knocking on the door yet, but I can at least see the door from where I'm standing.

Trying not to be disappointed, since I knew I was going to be eating bad (barbque buffet) on Monday night, even tho I still only drank water. And I've done two 35 minute "extra" walks on Sunday & Tuesday. . . .but i HAD been down a lb on Sunday morning so TRYING not to be disappointed. . but here's today weigh in: 9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# 11/5: 228.8# 11/11: 228.6 -- total loss thus far ~16.2 lbs.

Don't be disappointed with that - you're averaging over 2lbs per week loss - that's excellent progress. You will find occasions where you appear to plateau for a while, which is frustrating as hell - sometimes it's just in timing of hydration and digestive transit at the points you're weighing in, sometimes the body just seems to take a break for a while. Keep up what you're doing - it is working

I played the first half of the water polo match and I was excused for the 2nd half and was sent to the office for a quick meeting and the league officials informed me that I was placed on an all-star squad that the match will be played on November 30th and I was shocked to learn that I was one of the league top players and they had two squads lined up and I've just can't wait to play in that match on November 30th.
I scored a goal and assisted on two others when I was pulled out of the water by my coach today. I got two matches tomorrow it's going to be a very busy day tomorrow. I'm in the top 15 in scoring, playing limited minutes; and I felt honored by the league giving a part-time player to be named on the all-star squad. Usually, full-time players makes the all-star squad ... and I made it in my first year of water polo.
I just received an e-mail from my coach that I will be playing an extra period starting tomorrow and I got about 12 matches remaining after tomorrow - this league play will be finished two weeks before Christmas.

Day 175
Today's weigh-in: 227
So absolutely no change from yesterday. I'm okay with that. Two pounds up from my all time low after all those stumbles for the past few weeks seems like a decent place to be. I've got one more weigh-in left for the week, so I do plan to continue with the diet today and see where it gets me, but I just don't have the energy to go Spartan again, and I don't think that worked out well for me in the past anyway.

Played two matches today, played the first half only and my backup played the 2nd half - Won both games just barely - 20 to 18 and 23 to 20; from two different teams today and scored 1 goal and 2 assists in the 1st game and 2 goals and no assists in the 2nd game. I'm tired from swimming in equivalent of a mile and half and came home and ate a bowl of cereal before logging a minute ago. I will be having dinner with my family in two hours from now and still very hungry.
Last Week - 259.5
This Week – 258.3
Lost nearly a pound this week. No workout in the next two days!

Came home tonight and was 228 on the scale. For the early evening, that's really low for me. So I'm pressing my luck. I skipped dinner entirely tonight and went with two shots of bourbon instead. No, I'm not an alcoholic, but I figured eating any amount of food would just make me hungry for more, and I can remember the last time I tried to hit 225, waking up every hour out of pure hunger to see if I'd hit it yet. The bourbon gives my body 80 calories to work with without any craving for more, and I should sleep nice and deep with bourbon in my body tonight as well. I didn't go Spartan at all this week, and now that I'm at the final stretch before Friday weigh-in, I'm trying to do it intelligently. Who knows how tomorrow will go? I would believe seeing anything between 224 (a new low) and 227 (where I've been for the past two morning). Bring it on. Either way, I'll sleep well and get coffee and a donut to "break the fast" tomorrow

Probably a more effective one than the lager and finger food diet I was on last night

The bourbon diet. What a novel idea. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it Day 176Today's weigh-in: 225.5 (-1.5 from yesterday, +0.5 from all-time low) 39.5 lbs down / 45.5 lbs to go Haven't done body measurements in 18 days, so here goes: Waist: 41.5" (-3" from last time!) Chest: 41" (-1.5" from last time!) Holy crud. Am I measuring correctly?? Well, no doubt I got back on the horse this week. Now I know I can do it again next week and hit a new all-time low without the need to go Spartan until that final night
