He told me of a league that offers Spring Competition that plays matches on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and I told him that I'm very interested in joining it. Now, I got Water Polo in both Fall and Spring Time and excited to help me to stay in shape. My legs are getting more and more muscular and my ads has lost a couple of inches too. I just weighed myself at the gym that offers 24 hours service and wanted to walk around the track for 2 miles before heading back home and stopped for gas. Today's Weight - 260.3

9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# -- total loss thus far ~13.2lbs. I hate weighing so soon after the prior one, but I know I'm going off diet today (due to the all day movie marathon at the Alamo Drafthouse). So I wanted to get a weight in before I eat all that fried food and then won't weigh again until next Sat!

Doc gave me the all clear for (moderate) exercise with weights and aerobics, so I should be able to fit in a pair of these again by late Dec-early Jan. I've been through this once before My usual weight is in the 135-140 lb bracket (I'm a wee bit over 5ft 9) and I have some baby pounds to shed. My rottweiler, Medusa, looks at me. Fortunately I can speak dog and know when she's saying, "bitch please, put that Kemps ice-cream away and take me for a walk. Up the mountain."

Well, my club membership didn't last long - as of this morning, I'm back to 186.6, -33.4 from starting. That's a bit annoying, but not too bad because yesterday: - I retired another pair of trousers as too baggy - this is from "Set 2" (the next smaller set I took to wearing after I retired the first set. Yes, I have accrued a lot of trousers over the years of yoyo weights)
- I now fit comfortably into a pair of trousers from "set 3" which didn't fit a month or so ago - in fact, if anything, they're a bit loose on me
- I spent yesterday wearing jeans for the first time since I retired set 1 - this pair being 32 inch waist. Now admittedly, they're a pretty stretched 32, so probably more like a 34, but back in July when I was getting started, I literally couldn't get these past my thighs; two months ago, I couldn't get anywhere near doing them up; yesterday, they were done up with ease, and fairly comfortable.
So, all in all, I'm pretty happy where I am - the weight progress remains a zigzag rather than a smooth curve, but the body shape is definitely going in the right direction. And I'm going to be back in that club, real soon! (And the next time I leave it, it's going to be to flounce off in the direction of the 40 club, not be thrown out into the street by the bouncers )

We zig, we zag - sometimes we smile, sometimes we groan. Today is a smile day - down to 183.4, a new low (a >3 lb swing from yesterday, which is a lot for me - I guess yesterday, it was my turn to be full of it), and overall -36.6 from start point. Yo, doorman, open that door, I'm coming back into the club! No bike today - heavy fog since yesterday evening and consequently very slick roads which would be bad enough, but add a bad night without much sleep and that's not a combination which adds up to road safety on 2 wheels, so I'm going to give it a miss for a day. On the other hand, really fired up now at the propect at re-starting in the gym, so it looks like my "can't start inertia" is on the way out - just got to book an induction and get going. Also been clearing space in the garage for a workout area, and looking at chin-up bars. Now that the challenge has been set, I'm ready to meet it - in a few short weeks/months/years, one way or another, by hook or by crook, I will fit into those trousers that Jez posted

Day 165
Today's weigh-in: 231 lbs (+1 from last weigh-in, +6 from all-time low)
A very good start for me. I usually start on Mondays between 234 and 236 lbs. Let's see if I'll have the discipline to stay on target this week and drop below 225.

I'll take it. We've entered the danger zone - the days of Halloween candy sitting everywhere in piles. Plus, my feet and legs have been bothering me since I got back from my vacation due to walking way too much, so I haven't been able to exercise nearly as much as usual. Still. hoping to get down to 209 or below for good this week. I briefly dipped down to 209 for a day last week. Now I just need to stay there.

I went to the gym today and lifted weights along with some cardio. I'm getting off the deck and back into the fight.

Down to 183.0 today, -37 from start, so the 35lb-club bouncers have stopped loitering near me with expectant expressions.
This is, I think, my lowest weight since at least the end of 2004*. That's a bit of a vague statement, because the actual low was an indicated 178, but it turned out the scales were under-reading by about 3%. So, a bit of a wishy-washy milestone (a milesponge? a milejelly?) leaves me fairly pleased with the number, but reserving the formal happy dance until I get below 178.
(* and probably a bit longer, but I only have records back to the start of 2005)

"Sigh"
I weighed myself this morning and was 212. When I started in May, I was 218, and I went down to a low of 203. But now I find myself in a sobering moment where I realize I have to put aside all the drama and physical issues and get under 200. Thanks to all of you who have continued to eat and exercise to reach your goals because It helped me climb back into the ring. I'm not planning anything fancy, just eat less and exercise more. I'll probably post my weight once a week, maybe Tuesday.

No Water Polo Today because the County is hosting a Youth Festival for today and the match is rescheduled for tomorrow. However, I did managed to walk the track for 3 miles and rode a stationary bike for another 3 miles today. The Gym is now open 24 hours a day because members complained about it all the times - including me.

Been struggling, really struggling lately. On Monday, I was at an all-time low for Mondays, and by Monday afternoon, I'd already dropped down to 229, which is pretty much unheard of for me. I knew that if I kept pushing, I'd get below 225 by the end of the week easily, but I just couldn't. I remember driving home on Monday and feeling the same way I do when I'm underwater and go past the point where I can comfortably do without air. It was that bad.
I've been off diet ever since. I think maybe I need to slow my loss. It might just be more than my body can handle. After all, Monday's weigh-in seems to be showing me that I'm still losing even WITH all the cheating. I just may need to adjust my diet.
So I'm trying to get back on diet as of lunch time today. We'll see how it goes.
