Day 114
Yesterday evening hit 95 degrees, and we have a 1927 home with no central air. I drank so much water (and am still doing so) that weighing myself would be pointless this morning. I'll do it tomorrow when we're only in the low 80s...

I rode my bike today and did 11.46 miles in 1hour and 5 minutes. The last 5 miles in the pouring rain. Pouring. I felt like a young boy.
This makes it 32.13 miles this vacation.

I'll be working out in the afternoon from 2-3pm in the afternoon and because of league play starting soon, I will be using my matches as workout days and continue to move forward. I swam 10 laps and jog 3 miles on two separate occasions. I'm taking tomorrow off and do a lite workout on Friday and swim on Sunday. Weight Report on Friday.

Day 115
Today's weigh-in: 231 lbs (back to my all-time low)
34 lbs down / 51 lbs to go
I'm pretty sure I've still got a lot of water in me from all the extra heat. I bet I'm actually 230 today, but no worries. I think I will FINALLY reach my short-term goal of 229 lbs tomorrow morning, and that's all that really matters to me. Once I'm in the 220s, I'll feel a sense of accomplishment and motivation that's been missing since my weight loss flatlined last week, and I think I'll find myself losing weight faster again after that.

Came home and found myself at 230.5 lbs. Normally, I gain weight over the course of a day but, again, I think I was still bloated with water this morning. The long and short of it is I think there's a very good chance I will be 229 tomorrow morning. Incidentally, today, for the first time, TWO people at work noticed all the weight I'd dropped. Maybe it was the shirt I was wearing?

Shame on all the co workers that haven't acknowledged your achievement. 34 pounds is awesome.

Shame on all the co workers that haven't acknowledged your achievement. 34 pounds is awesome. Nah. If they truly haven't noticed, maybe that means they never noticed I used to be 34 lbs heavier. Really, I think complimenting a guy who is still very overweight on having appeared to have lost a lot of weight is a lot like asking an overweight woman if she's pregnant. If your well-intended observation is wrong, you've offended someone. I'm sure I'll get a lot more compliments when I'm chilling around the 200 lb mark

Day 116
Today's weigh-in: 230 lbs (-1 lb, new all time low)
35 lbs down / 50 to go
Believe it or not, this disappoints me. I was 232 lbs two weeks ago and have been trying to get to 229 all this time. I really thought I'd be there today. Maybe, as I continue to lose weight, the speed at which I lose it necessarily decreases. Makes sense, I guess. And a pound a week is still progress, but I always worry that I can't keep this diet up forever, and I want to be a lot lower than this when I finally stop.
So, for the second week in a row, I feel deflated about my progress. Yeah, if I stuck with the diet all through today and tonight, I MIGHT get to 229, but I have friends coming over tonight, and a lot of what helps keep me focused on my diet during the week is giving myself permission to go off the diet during the weekend.
I am damn hungry this morning, but I'm going to push through and not cheat until tonight. Sucks to be working this hard and not seeing the amount of results I want to see.

Day 119
Today's weigh-in: 234 lbs (+4 lbs, +4 from all time low)
31 lbs down / 54 to go
Considering that I was still off diet as of dinner time last night (and I ate dinner VERY late), this was to be expected. I'm not worried. Past history shows I'll have all of this off by Wednesday and rocking a new low by Thursday.
Here's to a new week!

Had a very weird day yesterday that I think is affecting the numbers, though I don't know exactly how. Unexpectedly spent about three hours hiking, I mean, for miles and miles. By the time I was done I was completely famished, so I ate a metric ton, and drank an ocean. I think it's possible I might be down in the 216's when that wears off, but maybe not. Anyway, it's not a lot of progress since last week, but it's in the right direction, and that's all that matters.

My General Week Starting Sept 28thMonday - No Workout Tuesday - Water Polo Match A - 2pm to 3:30pm Wednesday - Walking the Track Thursday - Water Polo Match B - 9am to 10:30am Friday - Short Swim / Walking Saturday - No Workout Sunday - 10 Laps of Swimming I just came from a meeting and they advises all Water Polo Players to avoid working out on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the Fall Season Play. They said to me, that you will be losing an average of 2 pounds a week during this time period! It's all set and ready to go and picked up my Swim Cap with number 1. There are two Number 1 in my squad, I'm the starter and I have my own backup and he wears the identical Swim Cap too. They also know that I'm deaf/hard of hearing and they have signals for all of us to learn and I have a full understanding of them. They wanted to take advantage of my speed and strength. Because I can go extremely quick in short bursts. Looking forward to it.

I wish I could be open enough to the moment to even find myself taking a three hour hike. You're making good progress regardless, and that's even with all you've endured. Well done.
