Starting Weight: 271 PoundsWeek 1 - 270.5 Week 1 - 272.5 (Monday, after the 4th) Week 2 - 270.5 Week 3 - 269.2 Week 4 - 268.0 Week 5 - 267.5 Week 6 - 266.0 Week 7 – 265.0 Week 8 - ? Week 9 - 263.0 Between Week 7 to Week 9 - I lost 2 pounds due to a simple change of moving my meals 1-2 hours earlier and having a lite snack to hold my hunger. So, I'm eating four times a day and with league play starting in two weeks from now and playing 2 matches a week will help. Man, it's took 8 weeks to lose 8 pounds - I find it very difficult to lose weight. A pound a week. Taking a weekend off and back to workout on Monday. 263 Now

Day 110Today's weigh-in: 231 lbs (-2 lbs from yesterday, new all-time low) 34 lbs down / 51 lbs to go I think this week's lack of weight loss was caused by a combination of my not having Green Tea at night AND my having bourbon on Monday. I've gone back to drinking Green Tea at night as of last night. If the small amount of caffeine in the decaff continues to make it hard for me to sleep, oh well. I want to keep losing. And I'll reserve bourbon for once a week, followed by Green Tea. Anyway, I lost a net 1 lb this week. Considering the amount of effort I put in, as well as how much I usually lose, this is a disappointment, but I'm still losing over all. Crimebuster is right: it's a marathon, not a sprint. But, having been at this for nearly a third of a year now, I wonder how much longer I'm going to be able to keep it going. It was hard this week when I wasn't seeing the results I wanted. It's easy to keep up a diet when you're seeing the results, but it's really hard to tell yourself to keep going when you don't. Add to that the fact that cold whether always makes me want to go into hibernation mode -- overeat and sleep. It's still hot for now, but "winter is coming".

I'm about to hit the road and be out of touch until Monday, but I hope to see good news from you when I return, George!

I imagine this thread will be a ghost town on this holiday weekend, but I wanted to report that I just finished a bike ride that totaled out to 20.67 miles in 1:48. That makes it 79.33 miles left to go on my week vacation.

On our way back from visiting family 5 hours away our car overheated and died. Looks like the transmission line (and I JUST had the car factory serviced!). Looks like we may be stuck here for days. In addition to having only two sets of clothes and having to miss work and school, this also means no diet til I return.

Yeah, cheating on two meals last weekend basically set me back 10 days. I just don't have that kind of margin for error. Need to stay focused all the time for this to progress the way I want.

Day 113Today's weigh-in: 232.5 lbs (+1.5 lbs from last weigh-in, +1.5 from all-time low) 32.5 lbs down / 52.5 lbs to go Someone explain to me how, being in someone else's house in a whole other state for three entire days, eating COMPLETELY off diet, and especially living on junk food while driving home into the wee hours of the night last night, I only managed to gain 1.5 lbs??? It's a darn-near miracle. Here's hoping my salad supplies haven't wilted (I had planned to be back two nights ago and have time to prepare fresh new salad supplies before my transmission line broke in NY) so that I can get fully back on diet today and take advantage of this gift

If the weight gain is real , and not just your body holding on to water and waste, then you ate 1750 calories MORE than your daily average for the three days. That's a lot of eating. I would say congratulations that it's only a pound and a half. From looking at all your posts over these 113 days, I think you must have good eating habits. I , on the other hand, have poor eating habits. I tend to eat late and in large amounts.

I woke up today weighing 208 (+2) from Friday. Weekend labor day eating did it. I had technical issues with my bike and wasn't able to take a ride yesterday.

It's been my trend ever since I hit my stride a month or so back to gain substantial weight each weekend off diet and then lose it all in a few days after. Two weekend back, I believe I gained 7 lbs (don't have time to check now). Last weekend, I was proud I only gained 3. So this is all very normal for my particular diet and rhythm, and 1.5 lbs is an accomplishment in that respect. I should be able to drop that in a day. And yes, I'm positive water retention is a major part of it. I understand the average person retains about 15 lbs of water. Considering my salt intake on the diet, I doubt I retain any during the week.

Got a sore throat, slight headache, and aching muscles helping a friend move late Monday Night. So, I did not workout today.
