Everyone will be amazed at the weight loss. Nice job , shax. Exactly one person noticed, and I think it's because he dropped 15 lbs himself. I'm okay with that. I take that to mean they didn't notice that I was 30 lbs heavier three months ago

Monthly measure-up time: I've lost 2 inches off my waist, and an inch each off my hips and neck, since 22-July. Getting close to the point where my waist is the thing that fits in the waistband of my trousers rather than the thing that hangs over the top of them.
Wish I'd measured up when I started, as I've probably lost another couple of inches on my waist since then (though at that point my gut was growing upwards as much as outwards). Which is not an appealing thought, and wasn't a particularly appealing look either.
Back on the bike again today - I adjusted the cleats some more last night, which seemed, on a short trial ride, to have eased the pressure on my knee. Time to find out whether I've got it right now...

Day 95
Today's weigh in: 234 lbs (-1 lb from yesterday)
31 lbs down / 54 to go
New low! Yesterday was rough, too. Brought all my food to school, but had massive hunger about an hour after eating lunch. Ended up going to the faculty lounge to get some Jimmy Johns free samples. Fortunately, exactly one fourth of a sub was left, so that's all I had. Got home and was hungry again, but Bourbon helped there (no, not an alcoholic. I'd bought this new bourbon I was curious to try, and man does it hit you hard on an empty stomach!). So the rest of the day was a nice one after that, and my hunger wasn't really an issue again.
Hope I'm going to be able to manage this diet while at work. I think I'll put more yogurt in my diet. I'll have some for breakfast and bring a little more for lunch. Hopefully that will do it.

I was 207 this morning. I've been 208 this entire week and am surprised to see a loss considering what I ate and how MUCH I ate. I'm going to attempt to eat clean today. Garth, shax, you guys are doing great.

I got to help my brother out today with my Dad and this day will be very taxing - I weighed myself at the Gym today after a short 2 mile walk around the track and weighed myself today and gained a pound this week. I'm back at 266 and I will be spending most of the day with my girlfriend tomorrow and that's not good at all. I have to push myself a lot harder next week and this weekend isn't helping me a bit too. I'm attending a birthday party for a dear friend of mine and he's having pizza!
I won't be reporting on this thread until Monday!

By the way, out of context, this is hilarious: I will be spending most of the day with my girlfriend tomorrow and that's not good at all. Best of luck this weekend!

A mixed day on the cycling: 1) spent the first 100 metres of my ride this morning wondering why I couldn't lock onto my pedals, before realising I'd left the cleat covers on; 2) very good ride on the way home - would have smashed my best ever time by a couple of minutes if I hadn't fallen over at a cross-roads in front of about 100 cars, narrowly missing wiping out another cyclist as I did it. On the bright side, the bike was undamaged as I managed to cushion its fall with my knee; side-benefit - I should be lighter at next weigh-in by the lumps of flesh I left on the road. Also - my quest to clean the chainset by scraping all the muck off with my calf continues. Also 2 - my helmet took the impact and I didn't even notice I'd bashed my head until I saw the scrapes on the helmet when I got home.
Other bright spot - only minor twinges from my knee (the same one I landed on!), which I think are just an after-effect of the trips before the latest cleat adjustment. Also noticed that I was riding with my thigh on that side pointed out a bit, which I think was also putting strain on my knee - have tried to adjust that to riding straighter, and that felt a lot better. Easy to see why cycling teams spend so much time on bio-mechanics and adjusting every ride and rider, just so.

I will be spending most of the day with my girlfriend tomorrow and that's not good at all. You might want to phrase it slightly differently when you talk to her....

I'll be spending most the day with my girlfriend tomorrow and we're attending my dear friend birthday party of which we'll be having pizza and having said that I dreaded the weight gain from pizza and cake tomorrow. I do love her very much and sorry about the earlier post.
It will be test of willpower to not to overeat tomorrow.

Best of luck this weekend! See the post that I sent to Simon Garth - I kinda laughed when I saw your initial post and you and Simon made your comments - I regret that and I rarely make a slip here. That's all.

I woke up at 206. The weekends are deadly but I would be happy to be at 206 come Monday.

Family event at the weekend, so it was my turn to fall off the wagon. Not too bad... apart from eating about half a (large) trifle.
Was 197.0 on Saturday morning, 199.4 today. Back on the bike and the calorie control this week!
