Nice recap Shax, and most of all hang in there and now 240, and 60 to go ... nice meeting that Milestone! ... Feeling much better today, and decided to make up the effort today and swam not 10 laps, not even my customary 15 laps, but I swam 18 laps - or 9,000 meters today and get myself back on track. Had a banana, oatmeal, and mixed fruits for breakfast today.

Day 80
Tried emulating my pattern from the day before, eating a reasonable brunch and then a less responsible but filling dinner, and absolutely nothing else. Had smoked salmon and cream cheese on a bagel for brunch at Bruegger's and steak teriyaki with loaded potatoes and frazzled onions for dinner at Dave & Busters. What do you know? It worked.
Today's weigh-in: 239.5 lbs (-0.5 from yesterday)
25.5 lbs down / 59.5 to go
First time I've been in the 230s in years. Even as I write this, I feel like I must have cheated or be lying or something. I just don't believe it, even though the bathroom scale confirmed it repeatedly.
If I can keep doing this...if I can keep losing into next school year, feeling relatively comfortable doing so...that would really be something.
School starts back up in two weeks, btw.

Starting Weight: 271 Pounds
Week 1 - 270.5 Week 1 - 272.5 (Monday, after the 4th) Week 2 - 270.5 Week 3 - 269.2 Week 4 - 268.0 Week 5 - 267.5
Right Now ... 266.0 ... Lost 1 1/2 pounds this week and swam 15 laps of the pool starting at 3am in the morning. I just got home 30 minutes ago and haven't had my coffee yet. Club opened the pool a hour earlier and I'm taking full advantage of it. I was the only one at the pool this morning.
So, I'm 36 pounds away to my ideal weight!

Day 81
Didn't like my weigh in this morning, but then I remembered that I'd had a late dinner, so I decided to wait a few hours and then weigh in again.
Today's weigh in: 239 lbs (-0.5 from yesterday)
26 lbs down / 59 to go
What if two days ago was the last time in my life that I will weigh 240 lbs?

Day 82
Can't get a consistent reading on my scale this morning. I'm somewhere between 238 and 239.5, so I'll average the two with a little fudging to account for the fact that I'll likely lose a little more before eating for the first time today around noon.
So...
Today's weigh-in: probably 238.5 lbs (-0.5 from yesterday)
26.5 lbs down / 58.5 to go
Yesterday was HARD. This entire week has been challenging, as my kid sister in law is here for her annual visit, and we like to spoil her silly. So we've been at ice cream shops all week, as well as eating out for nearly every meal. I've been focusing on eating when I'm truly hungry and remembering that eating when I am not causes me unhappiness and makes me feel physically less well, so I had no problem drinking water while my family piled on the best milkshakes in all Northeast Ohio at lunch yesterday, and was content to eat only three french fries from our shared plate, but I did have a heavy lunch ( a meat pie -- yum!), and so I went light on dinner without giving it much thought.
Unfortunately, by about 9pm (3 hours after eating dinner) I was insanely hungry, and that hunger just wouldn't go away. I had no garlic in the fridge to munch on as my nuclear option this time, as we'd been eating out all week and hadn't stocked the fridge, so I just made myself go to bed really really early. It was very hard; the hunger was insane, but I did it.
So I'd better ACTUALLY have lost another half pound this morning...

Day 83 Scale is being inconsistent again, but this time it's only alternating between 239 and 238, so it's safe to assume I'm still 238.5 today. No problem. I'm not dieting hardcore enough to expect to be shedding a half pound every single day. I know I ate amazingly well yesterday, and I'll let the scale take its time catching up with me. I also might weigh myself again later today, just to be sure... Today's weigh-in: probably 238.5 lbs (-0.0 from yesterday) 26.5 lbs down / 58.5 to go

I weigh myself several times a day just to see the body at work. There are times that I'm 3 pounds down after work.

I'm not weighing myself at the moment. It's been a pretty messed up couple weeks in terms of my diet; my sleep schedule got messed up by some of the stuff I've been going through, and then I got sick as a result of everything, so I had to stop exercising. And the last week I've had a lot of social events that have ended up with me eating stuff I don't want to be eating, like at cookouts and whatnot. It's a short term blip and I expect to get back on the wagon starting tomorrow in terms of diet, sleeping, and exercising. But I don't see any benefit to weighing myself until I get back on track, as it will likely just be frustrating.

I've held to my standard of only weighing myself once a month.

I have confidence that you'll bounce back.

Got crazy hungry at dinner tonight and ate too much, but everything I ate was healthy (spinach salad, non-fat yogurt, dry cereal), so I'm curious what effect this will have upon me tomorrow.
What's great is that I'm genuinely craving these things right now.
