I start my vacation June 19. I usually gain about 5 pounds when i'm off because of the absence of the cardio I get from work and the "vacation" eating that I indulge in. My plan is to get as close to 199 as I can before then.

Well 800 calories wasn't going to happen today, so I did 1050 instead. Believe me, I could have done 1500 (I'm still hungry now), but I was 248 this afternoon. I'd love to be in the 230s in the next two weeks.
Can't wait to check out the scale tomorrow...

11 pounds loss in 15 days is not bad. I did 15 pounds in 15 days the last time out. I feel better this time around eating more than Fish , salad and water. I like that the slight moments of cheating are just speed bumps in the journey.

Day 25My starting weight: 265 lbs My ideal weight for my height: 185 lbs My goal: 220 lbs by August (15 lbs per month for three months) Today's weigh in: 247 lbs. (-2 lb from yesterday, -18 lbs overall). I frickin' love it. I'm VERY hungry today and will probably have to consume 1500 calories after going so low for the last two days, but I can't believe the progress I am making now! Here's where I was one week ago today: Day 18My starting weight: 265 lbs My ideal weight for my height: 185 lbs My goal: 220 lbs by August (15 lbs per month for three months) Today's weigh in: ? Let's talk frustration. I mean bash the wall in and scream frustration. After all I've endured this week, I really REALLY need some positive feedback from the scale, but I backslid without rhyme nor reason yesterday morning, and now I can't get a consistent weight from the scale at all. Even with ensuring the scale is on a flat surface and resetting it to zero each time, I weighed myself THIRTY times this morning and couldn't get an anywhere near consistent range of weights. The two overwhelmingly most common results were 254 lbs and 251 lbs, with very little inbetween. There is a MAJOR difference between those two numbers for me. Stay the course. Stay the course. My plan for today: Breakfast: 1 serving of all-natural vanilla yogurt. Multivitamin and Calcium/Magnesium supplement. Green tea (as per the4thpip) Lunch: Organic peanut butter and regular craptastic jelly on non-enriched wheat bread. Throughout the day snack: Half a serving of dry Frosted Mini-Wheats (for iron and fiber) Dinner: Probably return to two chicken breasts marinated in no more than two tablespoons of soy sauce, and with cumin to taste Other snacks (if needed): spinach (now that I'm not getting it in my stew), garlic clove, raw unsalted cashews, baby carrots, sliced pineapple I'm really really really upset this morning. This has been the lowest morale week ever, and I am not up for ambiguity today. Well, went back to try the scale again and miraculously got the same weight all five times, so I'm assuming it's correct. 251 lbs. So I'm where I want to be. So I'm 4 lbs down from where I wanted to be last week. You can't argue with results like that

Awesome. 18 pounds is the real deal. Don't be afraid to eat more. You are on an elevator going down and it would take several days of non stop binging to turn it around. How do your clothes feel ?

Ended up doing 1400 calories today (may still add another hundred), and the hunger was great (as was the irritability factor) but this was also my first day at the gym, where I burned 230 calories on the exercise bike and swam a ton of laps for sheer enjoyment. I was seriously into swimming about three years back and used to swim 50 laps a day, so blowing the dust off of those muscles again felt great. I must have swam 12-15 laps, but I lost count. I was going leisurely and just enjoying myself. Would have definitely done more if there'd been time.
So I figure I had a VERY good day today. My only worry is that I won't make 245 lbs tomorrow because I will have retained some weight from muscle growth. But exercise matters. I know that if I just lose 50 lbs and don't exercise, I'll be a giant skin flab.
If I end up hitting 245 lbs tomorrow, it will be time to draw up revised plans for how much I want to lose by the end of this month and the end of this summer. I'm starting to think I could be at 200 before the next school year begins.
I've stuck with this for 25 days. Can I triple that commitment?

You should still be able to rapidly lose weight at that calorie intake. And maybe a little more. I was losing weight fast at 1600 net calories, which means after an exercise like yours I would have been able to consume about 1900 calories.

Also, it takes more than One week of exercise to grow muscle. I always care more how I look in photos and how my clothes feel than the actual number.

Years ago I read that swimming uses the most muscles of any exercise. Then some where I read it was surpassed only by cross country skiing.

I like swimming for so many reasons but especially because it has the lowest injury rate of any sport or exercise regiment. I have a tendency to push myself too hard when exercising and do damage as a result, but it is REALLY hard to hurt yourself swimming provide that you neither drown nor ram your head into the end of the pool lane. I also love how relaxing it is to be in water, even when exerting a lot of energy. Plus you don't sweat!

This is Day 16
Start date: 5-27-15 My starting weight: 218 lbs My goal: 180 lbs Today's weigh in: 206 (-1 from yesterday, -12 overall)
Yesterdays food:
930 am 2 hard boiled eggs
1pm chicken, salad
745 Steak - 2 big pieces
Review of the day:
While I was working, I felt sick and a bit disoriented in the street. It was hot and humid and I’d only eaten 2 eggs at the time. It was kind of scary. I continued to drink water until my lunch break but it was a brutal day, weather wise. I’m not feeling hunger so I’m just going with the flow. 12 pound loss in 16 days is fast but I’m anticipating that it will slow down in the next 2 weeks.
Todays plan - more of the same with more fruit.

You may want to take a closer look at the nutrient-breakdown of your daily diet. I was having experiences like this for a while and then realized boosting my carb intake from 30% recommended daily allowance to 50% daily allowance changed everything. Two pieces of stone ground wheat bread for lunch each day solves the problem for me. It could be any number of things for you -- maybe iron?
