Maybe you should drop more carbs and add more protein. Try to make a big salad with the things you like and eat that throughout the day. My protein levels are at 156% recommended daily allowance. Even with the bread, my carb intake is only around 54%, as I have no other significant source of carbs in my diet throughout the day. I've looked carefully before leaping.

Well, went back to try the scale again and miraculously got the same weight all five times, so I'm assuming it's correct.
251 lbs.
So I'm where I want to be.

You have to do what you think is right, but your body is unique and maybe you can adjust those percentages somewhat. When I eat protein, I feel fuller and the salad helps a lot.

This is Day 9
Start date: 5-27-15 My starting weight: 218 lbs My goal: 180 lbs
Today's weigh in:210 (0 - from yesterday, -8 overall)
8am- 2 helpings of Shredded wheat cereal, raisins, skim milk
315pm- rotisserie chicken, cole slaw
830pm 2 helpings of Shredded wheat cereal, raisins, banana, skim milk
I wanted to have cereal with milk so bad so I sacrificed possible weight loss to have that craving satisfied. I had no salad or not much water so Now I see that I have to stick to the plan even when I'm off from work. ( I was off from work).
Today, I have already prepared a big salad for the day. I have chicken from yesterday wrapped and ready to go. I', taking some fruit as a snack for the day.

Shax, 14 pounds is great. Don't get frustrated, you're actually ahead of schedule for the 15 pounds a month.

If you need something to snack on during the day try Plain Celery, it is a "free" food. Celery has absolutely no calories and actually requires more calories to chew it than the Celery supplies so you can eat as much as you like with no adverse consequences and it may satisfy your craving to eat or to be eating.

And you can even add a little bit of cream cheese to it to make it YUMMY. But, yeah, celery is basically solid water.

Sometimes you just need something in your stomach.

Some people are "carb sensitive" when it comes to processed carbs, though I'm by no means an expert on this. Do you eat enough fruit? Every other day or so I'll eat a very thin multi-grain sandwich thin with a turkey, chicken or salmon burger inside, but that's all the bread I eat. I'll also eat some gluten free pasta a few times a week, but other than that the vast majority of my carbs come from fruit. I eat three bananas a day, plus a lot of various melon, blueberries and strawberries.

Are you exercising while you diet, shaxper? I will be once school ends next week. This is good. Once you start exercising you're going to start seeing a huge upswing in your weight-loss goals.

Essentially, I have one glass of juice with dinner and three pineapple slices for dessert.

As the guy who got you into shredded wheat, let me suggest switching up one of those helpings with Frosted Mini Wheats. No, this is not a commercial, but there IS a big difference. You can get half your daily intake of iron from one serving of Frosted Mini-Wheats, whereas shredded wheat offers you almost none. Iron is one of those key nutrients that are hard to get when dieting, and that can lead to energy loss and even anemia. Too much iron isn't good for you either though, so don't do four servings of Mini-Wheats in a day.

Just got to say that, now that I'm at work, I'm realizing I have more energy and just generally feel BETTER than I have in days. Clearly, boosting my carb intake to 56% recommended daily allowance yesterday was the right decision for me.

I will be once school ends next week. This is good. Once you start exercising you're going to start seeing a huge upswing in your weight-loss goals. And you'll be able to eat more like a human being. Because I applaud you. I do not have the will power to cut out food to the levels you do. So, I exercise to make up for it. When you start exercising, you'll want that high protein level because it will help sustain your energy levels, AND it will contribute greatly to muscle build and strength.
