I weighed myself this morning. I was 199.8. I can't believe I'm not 210 after the way I've been eating the last month with my Vacation with visitors staying at the house, but I'll take it. My HS reunion is his Saturday but I chose to skip it this year. That's usually the impetus for dieting down but maybe I've learned new eating habits after multiple years of dieting down. How are the rest of you guys doing @simongarth, @bert, @mechagodzilla, Jesse ?

I'm still around 235 pounds, and will be joining a Bowling League soon. I'm out of the Water Polo business and spending a lot of time on Spring Cleaning and minor remodeling jobs in my Condo. I'm exercising every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from now on. Mainly on the Bicycle Machine and some major walking too. Thanks for the reminder ... Icctrombone and sorry about not reporting anything new with me.

I had a rough May (back issues), and our vacation where we ate our way thru Niagara Falls didn't help.
been back about a week, and back to exercising, doing at least 1/2 hour walk each day, but want to get back to my hour + walks.
weighted myself for the 1st time in a while this morning, and not as bad as it could have been. .. only up ~1lb since last time I checked in, so basically maintaining.
was 195.4 lbs this morning.
so yeah, not happy it's almost 20lbs higher than my lowest was, but only ~10lbs away from my goal of 185 by the time I go on my trip, in 6 weeks.
should be very maintainable goal.
we shall see. . the 100's every day temp wise and the current business at work isn't helping matters. .but trying.

Weighed in at my physician's office this morning and found out I've lost 5 lbs in the last three weeks. So that's a total of 25 lbs since February. Cutting sugary drinks out has been a big help as well as cutting back dramatically on carbs. Not cutting them out entirely though and still being able to enjoy pizza, potatoes, rice and pasta occasionally. High protein breakfasts with eggs (no butter, no cheese) and raw fruit and vegetables also helps. Plus all the added physical activity. In February I was so weak from my hospital stay I could barely walk up and down the steps. Now I try to walk 18 blocks twice a week to lunch and back. Back then I was curling just the weight bars and now I'm curling 25 lbs everyday even with my partially numb hand. Along side my Ulnar nerve exercises recommended by my physical therapist. I was doing 50 jumping jacks a day but that proved too high impact on my knees so I switched to 2 sets of 50 swats everyday. I also wake up and do 20 sit ups and as many pushups as I can do before I eat breakfast and take my medication. I need to lose about 38 more lbs to be at the correct BMI for my height as well as avoiding the hereditary health risks of heart disease and diabetes that I have on both sides of my family. I was worried that I wouldn't have lost anything because of how much I pigged out on junk Memorial Day weekend but was pleasantly surprised. When I came home today I rewarded myself with a well deserved ice cream cone.

My wife and I started a low carb diet two weeks ago this weekend. My wife weighed me in at 211. I figure I am going to weigh in once every two weeks or once a week at the most. Weight fluctuates a lot when starting a new eating plan, so I don't want my expectations to go up and down like a roller coaster.
I feel better already with the food we eat as well as taking vitamin B and D supplements. And wife says she thinks I've already lost some weight. So I guess I will find out this weekend. I am also going to get a bike this weekend and start biking at least 3 times a week. A good amount of exercise will help too.
I've got the beer gut. Surprisingly from drinking lots of beer. (Added to going from a labor heavy job, to a desk job for the last 5 years.) And getting a lot of my daily carbs from beer. So that has to be a permanent change, because my taste for beer probably won't. I either have to find other things I like to drink and/or cut down the amount. Right now Budweiser Select 55 is the answer. Two carbs per 12 oz. As compared to say Guinness which I drank often that like 17 carbs per pint. So that's my spiel on life changes. Whatever weight I loose is great, but I have no real weight goal, just to flatten my stomach so I don't get depressed when I look at old pictures of myself lol (which is what prompted this change)

Weighed in with my nurse yesterday and she said I've lost 8lbs since she last saw me at the beginning of May so I'm assuming that's an addition of 3 lbs since I last saw my physician a few weeks ago. Pretty cool!

Still here, still not making any progress - losing the cycling commute has really killed my efforts. I'm having a bit of a soft restart this month, and aiming to cycle before work some days to kickstart. Currently 194 and not at all happy about that number.

Weighed in at my Allergist this morning and found out I'm under 250 lbs which is great news because after getting a couple molars pulled two weeks ago I was absolutely miserable and stuffed my face with all kinds of junk especially ice cream and cake. I came home today and rewarded myself with some salt & vinegar kettle chips. I did manage to find sugar free jello and pudding though so I assume that helped a little and also found some organic dehydrated fruit that's GMO free. Apples, pears, pineapples and mangoes that seem like a healthy alternative to junk food plus they're really tasty. I also added two new workout apps to my phone 30 Day Pushup Challenge and 30 Abs Challenge plus the two sets of 50 squats I do every day.

Gained a couple of pounds -- due to the excessive heat and drinking too much water and soda. Up to 237.

I've been working out consistently for the last two months. Probably my best start ever. Between that time I've missed a day. That is up until two days ago when I missed two days straight. I was just so dejected after all that time not really seeing any noticeable changes. In addition to that the past week I really nosedived on my eating habits indulging in way too much ice cream at times. Just let my frustration manifest itself in the form of overeating my recommended caloric intake.
I know people that have been doing this a while say you really need to be doing this a year before you see a difference. Still, I just felt like with the hours I put in I deserved something a little more tangible. I can see why many people give up. Those fitness people showcasing themselves on Instagram all day definitely have some mental fortitude I wish I did.

A session at the gym might burn 600 calories depending on what you do, but if you eat a medium fries and a soda, you have wiped out the 600 calories in one sitting. Whenever I stop sugar and refined carbs, I drop weight quickly.

It's really helped me make better food choices for the first time consistently. Last few days I said fuck it though. Frustration set in. Felt worse knowing what amount I was putting into my body. Anyway, I'm going to try this for maybe 3 or 4 more months. If I don't see any noticeable changes I'm quitting. This lifestyle might not be for me.

In the past I have exercised almost every day for months and lost no weight or very little weight. And there have been times that I didn't exercise but cut sugar and the bread and lost lots of weight. What you eat is 99% of changing you're body.
