Templesmith's artwork is perfect for horror books. He captures the mood perfectly. I also really liked the Andrea Sorrentino variant for Gotham By Midnight #1.  |

Finally got a chance to check out Gotham by Midnight #1 and quite liked it. -M I read mine last night... it was OK... I didn't love the art, but it's in interesting premise, though, and it's nice to see DC breaking some boundaries, even if they feel they have to put Gotham in the title. |

Ben Templesmith is something of an acquired taste, I couldn't get into his work at first either and if Gotham was a traditional capes book I probably wouldn't care for it but as it's nontraditional his murky atmospheric look works really well. I ended up grabbing the last copy tonight. I figure since I didn't much like Mignola's work at first either but now love it this may grow on me as well. |

Templesmith is a madman.
Pretty sure he worked on 30 Days of Night as well as Wormwood Gentleman, which was creepy, funny and unique.
