I don't get it - is it referring to other comics characters or something? For a second I thought the red-haired couple was supposed to be a grown-up Sugar & Spike, but google images shows me that Sugar was blonde. What is not to get about a suicide bomber squirrel? yeah ... still not getting it ... |

The Multiversity: Pax Americana #1 at times felt like Grant Morrison writing an issue of Watchmen. I think he's been pretty explicit that this was always meant to be his take on Watchmen. Couldn't get to the comic shop today so I haven't been able to read it yet, myself, but I'll likely pick it up tomorrow. |

Not sure what it bodes for the book or its schedule, but Rat Queens artist Roc Upchurch was recently arrested in a domestic violence dispute... storyThe arrest has been confirmed but the case hasn't been heard in court yet, so what actuallyhappened is anyone's guess, but it certainly won't help the PR for a female friendly book in this market... -M  That's so bad, it's worrying how many artists/writers involved with an all female roster of characters end up doing stuff like this in their personal lives. |

If I google this, there's the Bleeding Cool report on Roc Upchurch, and one other article (basically a repeat of the Bleeding Cool one).
I cannot find anything on his twitter, Rat Queen's facebook page, tumblr, or anywhere else.
So! I have to ask if it's either true, or if it's being swept under the rug.

Since arrest record are public records, if you want to confirm it (or show it to be made up), you could make an information request to the Henry County, GA PD. Unless Bleeding Cool forged the document of the arrest record they included in their story (which would most likely open them up to a lawsuit), I would bet that is how they confirmed it, as that is the kind of stuff RJ revels in to get hits. I was able to look up the county PD website and find the link for requesting records, so it's fairly easy to do.
But again confirming the arrest occurred does not confirm what actually happened during the whole situation.

I was just a little amazed that I wasn't able to find it blasted all over the internet. Because it's horrible. And I'm unsure of what will happen with Rat Queens. I'd hate to see the book ruined by it, so I hope a new artist is put on it. But, since he's co-creator, I'm not sure of how any of that works. |
