Titans Comics released Doctor Who The Tenth Doctor #1 and Doctor Who The Eleventh Doctor #1 yesterday and they were both very enjoyable. Indeed they were. Any word on when Capaldis Doctors book starts? It's in this month's previews... so October? I got my DCBS pile today... so I'll be reading those in a bit. The Usagi Color special was really good... Fables is moving along nicely (though still sad it's ending)... this last story is going to be a doozy. Didn't like the new (or perhaps fill in) art on Ms. Marvel, but the Wolverine team up was pretty awesome. Elfquest has been pretty slow moving.. I'd like a little more plot, but Wendy Pini can still draw some great stuff, so it's OK.

Retailer orders for the Capaldi Dr. Who book first issue from Titan were due into Diamond today, so they will ship in September sometime. -M Yaaay! More Doctor Who! More I say! I was mildly disappointed by the two Doctor Who issues... they were decent, but the lack of companions (I defintely don't want to see a comic-only one) was sad. They did a pretty decent job on capturing the right mood and feel, but the art was fairly meh.. I didn't really feel like it was worth $3.99.

Very small week: - Harley Quinn #8 Might be the first one I get too off-the-shelf as I finally picked up 0-7. Amazingly, they were all under cover price and 1st Prints. They were part of a New 52 deal I stumbled on, also got Batman '66 1-10

Did anyone pick up this? I'm not sure if it will be considered a 5th (or is it 6th?) print of #1...but it was issued as a limited variant to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Batman and only given to those who went on a studio tour. Heard tickets for those were $55 each and the comic isn't available in stores (no barcode, price etc). Didn't stop me from getting 10 copies but they're now as high a $100 each. Nice cover for the Batman New 52 completist

Probably my favorite new series of the year.... Lola XOXO from Aspen. Written and Drawn by Siya Oum. Distopian type of future; decent story buy Siya's artwork is the big draw. She's an amazing find. She's coming to my LCS tomorrow (post SDCC appearance), and I'm looking forward to meeting her.

I noticed that the final issue of Fatale is hitting the shops today. Anyone following this series? I had been thinking of checking it out, but when I heard that it was going to end soon, I decided to wait until I could pick up the entire series and read it all the way through. Is it worth getting the whole thing?

Is it worth getting the whole thing? Mix Lovecraft and noir with Bru writing and Phillips gorgeous art and I'm a fan. I was in at issue 1 and been following since. There has been a lull here and there in the run, but overall it's one of my favorite series since I got back into new comics again early in 2012. -M

And frankly that could just be because I want more Criminal and this isn't it.

I'm thinking of trying to track down the series in single issues rather than trade. It'll be more expensive, but I really love the cover art for this series. This was one of those titles where I knew nothing about it but was inclined to check it on just on the cover art alone.
