I figure people not recognizing Yoda's species as being no different than Han and others in the OT thinking the Force was a myth.

I figured that was just an homage to the garbage chute in "A New Hope." But it wasn't impervious to blaster fire. {Spoiler}{Spoiler: Click to show}The part that didn't makes sense to me was when they torched the cantina. I thought they were trying to capture Baby Yoda, not barbecue him.The part that didn't makes sense to me was when they torched the cantina. I thought they were trying to capture Baby Yoda, not barbecue him. ' It was... Kara used that gatling gun she had on it, and nothing happened... they had to have IG cut it slowly with some sort of blow torch. THAT made sense to me, sort of. {Spoiler}{Spoiler: Click to show} The original Imperial guy wanted him alive for do testing on (I thought for sure the doctor dude with the glasses was going to mention midichlorians).. Espinoza seems to have wanted him just dead. Several of the bounty hunters that came later seems more interesting in killing him than capturing him.
Also, are we supposed to think Espinoza is a Sith? he's got Vader's chest plate and a light saber, but he didn't actually use the Force at all
Nah, he's not a sithlord or anything that's the Darksaber which was a Mandalorian artifact I'm assuming he took while in charge of the purge of Mandalore.

Oh, right! I didn't make the connection right away, but that makes total sense. Doesn't bode with for Sabine surviving into this era then.

That's a LONG time for that search if that's the case... I'd think the Empire getting the Darksaber would have got her attention!
And wait, new show? with the Rebels cast? Really?

From the epilogue, it seems the search didn't start until after the Battle for Endor and she apparently stayed near or on Lothal during the Civil War. Why she did that while her planet was ground down by the Empire is unknown at this point as that plot point wasn't created until this show. And yeah, Filoni has hinted that the search for Ezra will get it's own show in the not too distant future though there's nothing concrete yet.

Cannot wait.
Super stoked for that Maul/Ahsoka duel that they've teased for years. And even better that they brought Ray Park in to do mo-cap for Maul's end of the fight.

I had never seen that sequence, although it was hinted at in the comic-book adaptation. Neat!

They were smart to cut that scene from the final film to build anticipation about Luke's arrival.

I agree.. while it's neat to see.. that didn't really add anything, and Luke's entrance into Jabba's palace is pretty good the way it is.

I had never seen that sequence, although it was hinted at in the comic-book adaptation. Neat! It wasn't in the ROTJ novelization by James Kahn either. So it must've been cut fairly early on, just like the sandstorm scene after the battle on Jabba's sail barge (before the Rebels leave Tatooine), which is also missing from the book. I can't remember where I first read about the existence of this deleted scene of Luke constructing his new lightsaber, but I've known about it since the mid-to-late 80s. It was finally released from the vault on the blu-Ray reissue of the original trilogy, I believe. All the deleted scenes from the blu-Rays are on YouTube I think. I agree that Lucas and whoever were absolutely right to cut this scene, even though it is kinda cool.

Definitely; these scenes would have slowed down the pace of the film. The same would apply to the early scenes in A New Hope in which Luke watches the space battle with binoculars and has a chat with Biggs. Still, I’m always happy to see “real” Star Wars scenes that I hadn’t seen before!

It's always cool to see deleted scenes, but it completely ruins the awesomeness of the original "Ignite the Green" moment in the movie.
