The finale for the first season of Andor is so good! This show is exceptional on every level. Now is the long wait for the second season.
Oh, no spoilers but there is a post credit scene for the finale, so stick around after you watch it.

I received copies of the "Despecialized" editions of Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back as a gift, and I have to say, they really are amazing. I felt like a kid seeing these for the first time again!

I just finished re-reading The Han Solo Adventures (Han Solo at Star's End, Han Solo's Revenge, Han Solo and the Lost Legacy) by Brian Daley. I love these books. I may be a minority of one, but I think these might be my favorite Star Wars novels. To me, they match the pace and the tone of Star Wars quite well.

Maybe I'll pick them up somewhere again some day.

I may be a minority of one, but I think these might be my favorite Star Wars novels. To me, they match the pace and the tone of Star Wars quite well. It's been a very long time since I last read them, but I always really liked these books too. I bought the first two back in the early 80s: my Mum ordered them from a bookshop for me, which was the first time I became aware that you could do such a thing. I didn't read Lost Legacy until many years later, after finding a copy at a car boot sale in the early 90s. I agree that they capture the tone of the first couple of SW films quite well -- and they match the tone of Alan Dean Foster's novelization of Star Wars even more closely. They were snappily written space opera adventures and it was fascinating to get a glimpse of Han's life before he met Luke Skywalker and became embroiled in the Rebellion. Like I say, it's been a long old time since I last delved into these books, but I recall thinking that Han Solo at Star's End was the best of the three, though it's possible I'd revise that opinion if I were to re-read them now.

Hmmm, tough call, but I do think that I liked Han Solo at Star's End was the best of the three myself. They were all quite enjoyable, though.

The latest episode of the Bad Batch was absolutely stunning. Sepratist hold outs standing against the Empire, battle droids as a legitimate threat rather than silly cannon fodder, Commander Cody getting some development and a more serious tone more comparable to Rogue One or Andor than previous animated outings.

New trailer for Mandalorian Season 3 just dropped during halftime of the Cowboys-Bucs fame. Sure it will be up on youtube soon.

Looks like it's going to be another amazing season I do hope this’ll be the last season so that the show can end on a high. All good things SHOULD come to an end, in my view. I mean, I have completely lost interest in NCIS as it now has something like 330 seasons under its belt - and something like 10,000 episodes. End on a high, I say. (And I realise that’s hypocritical, given that I read comics featuring characters who have been around decades)
