Wow Dana Wynter is a very pretty woman. I have not heard of her or the movie, but I added to my Netflix DVD list. One female actress I was really wowed with was Jacqueline Pierreux when I saw Black Sabbath for the first time a year a so ago when I started watching Mario Bava films. She played the role real well and I was quite smitten with her when watching it. At the time I hadn't found much else she was in, other than French films, but I hadn't poked around real well at the time to see if any where available in some format or other to watch.

I heard about that movie Adam, and I haven't gotten around seeing it. I have a dear friend of mine who happen to be a fan of her and I will try to contact him later on today and I hope to see this film in the next month or two. Thanks for reminding me.

Sean Connery: I'd watched all the Sean Connery Bond films on tv, as a kid in the 70s, but a couple years ago I had the chance to see Doctor No, Goldfinger, From Russia with Love, and Thunderball on the big screen for the first time, and Connery's screen presence was phenomenal. Other actors have played James Bond, and done a fine job of it. But Sean Connery is Bond.

Dorthy MaloneThe name might be well known, but this Best Supporting Actress for Written on the Wind is a stunner. You probably know her from his little role in The Big Sleep, when she and Bogart got a little wet during a storm.... I remember her well from The Big Sleep, and she was quite striking and likeable. I remember being disappointed she didn't have a bigger role.

James Coburn is another favourite of mine. Loved the Flint movies watching them on tv as a kid. I can't say that they're great films or anything, but they are great fun and cool period pieces. I highly recommend this movie:

I mainly know her from Invasion of the Body Snatchers One female actress I was really wowed with was Jacqueline Pierreux when I saw Black Sabbath for the first time a year a so ago when I started watching Mario Bava films. I was reading/listening to something about Mario Bava where it's mentioned that she was mainly a stage actress.

Fabulous Ava GardnerHer credits includes The Killers (1946), The Night of the Iguana (1964), Seven Days in May (1964), The Barefoot Contessa (1954) and host of roles that made her a household name everywhere. Her leading men includes Clark Gable, Burt Lancaster, Gregory Peck in On the Beach a 1959 film that remains one of my favorites and list goes on and on of her testament to act and entertains us all. I find her alluring, glamorous, and downright a powerful presence on the Silver Screen from 1940's to 1970's ... A true legend of her kind.

Linda Darnell
A brilliant actress who's range from pirate films like Bluebeard the Pirate, to The Mark of Zorro (opposite of Tyrone Power) and my personal favorite Fallen Angel. She was stunning and had some serious acting chops.

Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder Ursula Andress is in several of the best movies of the 1960s. Dr. No, What's New Pussycat? and Casino Royale all pop into my mind. (The 1960s version of Casino Royale has a very bad reputation, but I love it! Yeah, it's a bit of a mess, but I find it a very clever and entertaining mess. And I'm happy to report that it has a bit of a cult following, a small number fans that love it despite its imperfections.)
A few years ago, I watched all the James Bond films over a period of a few months (this was before the 2006 Casino Royale released) and at the end, I concluded that Dr. No is the best James Bond film. Well, maybe not the best, but it's my favorite. Everything important was done right from the first, and they changed the formula a bit as the years went on, but they never improved it.

Joan Blondell Love her to pieces! I saw her a few days ago in Gold Diggers of 1933. She was in a few movies better than Gold Diggers of 1933, but I don't think she ever had a better movie moment than "The Forgotten Man" number at the end.

I forgot to add that a much-older Joan Blondell was in a Twilight episode! It's the one where Sterling Holloway is the mischievous TV repairman and he rigs the TV so it makes philandering taxi driver William Demarest go crazy and he ends up pushing wife Joan Blondell out the window and she falls to her death!
She was in movies into the 1970s! I think she was in Grease!

Did you know that there was another group of Hollywood Stars that has nothing to do with movies? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood_Stars"The Hollywood Stars were a minor league baseball team that played in the Pacific Coast League during the early and mid 20th century."

Here's a couple of pictures of both Tyrone Powers and Linda Darnell in The Mark of Zorro that you loved to see!
