Oh, my bad then. I had never seen covers to those solicitations and always assumed those were the two DC series.

I used to love these giant-sized Marvels. They're from my collecting childhood heyday.

I used to love these giant-sized Marvels. They're from my collecting childhood heyday. They're just a little before my collecting childhood heyday, but it was always a thrill for me when I could pick up a Giant-Size back issue from the LCS in the late 70's/early 80's or maybe in a trade with a friend.

Oh, wow, that's crazy-- DC reprinting licensed comics Marvel had originally published. Looking at the panels of the Dracula story, it struck me that DON HECK, one of the most-maligned artists in the 70s, did a FAR better job inking Ross Andru than Andru's good buddy Mike Esposito, who really let his work go to HELL in the 70s. I suspect Don Heck inked GS SM #1 because... Don Heck was doing the FULL ART on GIANT-SIZE DRACULA. So this really was a "crossover" in more ways than one!
In GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-MAN #2... Ross Andru was inked by AL MILGROM. Milgrom was THE regular inker on MASTER OF KUNG FU at the beginning, inking over Jim Starlin, Alan Weiss and Paul Gulacy!
