Thanoseid annoyed me not because of them being different characters to me, but because the name was soooo lazy. Those were the Amalgams I disliked, where they just mashed two names together (Catsai, Thanoseid, Angelhawk and they went with Savage Shaw over Sebastian Savage? ). I liked that at least several writers thought a little about it, so we didn't get Captain Super or Americaman or Sabrejoke/Jokertooth.
