The only "same sex" twins I can even think of were Thunder and Lightning, "sort of villains" from New Teen Titans. Edit: I take that back, I also remember the Trigger Twins! The only one I could think of was Monet St. Croix's younger sisters. Oh, and Brother Voodoo and Captain Triumph, now that I think of it. Both have one of the twins dead as their origin though.

The first time some corporate comic book policies irked me was back in the very early 1970s and were comitted by Marvel. All of a sudden, the 2 centerspread pages of comics in all their books became half-pages each. Gone would be the opportunity for huge full blown centerspread images, a trademark for folks like Jack Kirby. And marvel still insisted you were getting 20 pages of comics Sometime before or after that move, Stan Lee announced in his Bullpen Bulletin page that letters to the editor will no longer have replies. He claimed he was too busy writing the stories. Of course, by this time, most replies were actually written by assistant editors. This policy held for about 1/2 year At the same time it was announced by Stan that, with some exceptions, all stories would be done-in-one. Stan said there were too many complaints about continued stories. Since comics were still "dense" reads, I never felt cheated if a story ended on a cliffhanger. I feared a policy like that could adversely affect some stories. I remember all 3 changes occurring pretty close together and which prompted my first angry letter to Marvel. Which of course would never be printed or answered. These policies pale in comparason to what goes on nowadays Was that back when they would have 19 page comics and # them up to 20? That was some evil-style sneakiness.

And they turned out to be clones of Emma Frost (terrible retcon) anyway.

They are her genetic daughters, created by the Weapon Plus Program using eggs taken from Emma while she was in a coma (circa UXM #300-something) and a yet-to-be-named doner father. They were then artificially aged to adolescence in The World. They are technically clones of each other, though.

Well, no, technically they're not clones at all. Having an identical genetic structure isn't what makes clones, as we see that all the time in twins. Being replicated from a single donor makes you a clone.

There was a short period--maybe coinciding with this other cost cutting--when Marvel had artists, one time each issue, to turn their artboards sideways and draw two pages on one board. Then they'd only pay for one page. That didn't last long.

The Trigger Twins ran the same scam as the Crimson Foxes, and 3-D Man was a reworking of Captain Triumph.
Always dug Cap. Just had that cool, minimalist, Golden Age look, and was a nice twist on the 'Superman' type.

They were actually successful, and there was a settlement reached to allow the series to be reprinted.
