I don't mind the idea of having a sexy female character as part of the team but yeah, there needs to be more to it than just that and I never really took to Marlene. And even the sexiness aspect never worked for me becuase I didn't really like Sienkiwicz's style in the earlier issues of the series. The last few, when he started getting more experimental, were great, but those early ones were often very sketchy looking, to my taste. Possibly he had trouble meeting the schedule demands of a monthly or bi-monthly comic. Was that when he was a Neal Adams clone rather that Bill Sienkiewicz proper? I had the same problem with Tom Grindberg. It's great to see amazingly talented artist outgrow their original inspiration.

Haven't seen enough of Grindberg's stuff to judge, but yes I didn't like Sienkiewicz that much in the early issues of the MK series - though I did like his Adams-inspired look in the MK back-up story in the Hulk mag, inconsistent as those judgements may be on my part.

Personally, I'd rather Reese the vampire woman Moon Knight has with him in the latest series.

It's Marvel. They excel at world-building. I'd be shocked if Werewolf didn't show up in some form or fashion here.

Are they really doing a Werewolf by Night series? No idea what the current status of the character is in the comics but I liked the old Marvel Spotlight and then solo series with great artwork by Ploog in the early issues.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, as Marvel seems to be going for a supernatural mood for its next wave: Dr. Strange and Wanda gaining prominence, plus Blade, Black Knight, and a rather supernatural-looking Moon Knight.
Will Brother Voodoo be next? That would please Fred Hembeck, I'm sure!

From what I’m seeing, it looks like there will be a Halloween special starring WbN, rather than a full-blown series, at least at this point. It might make sense for Marvel to at least get the character out there in the Moon Knight series, since he isn’t exactly a household name, but at this point, they don’t have too many of those left to use (outside of FF and X-Men, and we all know they’re coming at some point).

I'll give it 'interesting' but I wouldn't go so far as 'good'. This feel more like Rose and Thorn than Moon Knight so far. If they wanted a civilian identity that was a average joe, why not use Jake Lockley instead of Steven Grant? Makes me shake my head.

If they wanted a civilian identity that was a average joe, why not use Jake Lockley instead of Steven Grant? Makes me shake my head. I'd say save the Jake identity for scenes where you really need a salt of the Earth working class guy, while I see making Steve a more ordinary middle class guy as a good move as it further removes Moonknight from the perception that he's a cheap Batman knock off. For better or worse Bruce Wayne is the Billionaire Playboy, and in the past it even made Ironman feel like it was playing off Batman until they went down the road that atleast with Tony Stark the playboy antics weren't an act, that's really who he is under the armor which differentiated him. As for the episode itself...I think it might have been one of the best Disney has put out so far. The amount of mystery and worldbuilding they put into a single episode was actually pretty impressive, especially as not a single second of it felt like an info dump. I'm excited to see how they build up the mythology of this Moonknight in future episodes.

Liked the first episode. Thought it was entertaining. Although there were some dumb moments that annoyed me. Feeling slightly anxious that it might get boring in middle parts. I feel like these 6 part shows should be 3-4 episodes. They feel padded.

I feel like these 6 part shows should be 3-4 episodes. They feel padded. You mean we didn't need two different inventory counting scenes? I feel like the whole 'empowered by an Egyptian God' bit is pretty different from Batman, but I get that. Just seems like they should have just gone with Jake Lockley as the other id. I mean, I guess that didn't just want 'working class' but naive as well.
