Latest additions to my Spotify library: Kenny G BreathlessRaye, Collin I Think About YouThese two are my recent favorites and I ran across them at a party that I attended a month ago. They played both of these songs and Kenny G ... Breathless is a winner to me.

From Wolf to De Wolfe... I've been exploring late '60s-early '80s Music Library albums from the English De Wolfe company, mostly via archive.org... titles like these: The music on these could be utilized by tv and film makers, and if you know the SCTV comedy show they got their theme music from a De Wolfe album title track named Free Style... archive.org/details/Music_De_Wolfe_DWLP_3364_Freestyle_1977/A3.+Freestyle.mp3

Well, my decision to slow down on adding to my Spotify library wound up neurered by Ken Burns' excellent Country Music documentary series. Under its influence, I've added
Cline, Patsy The Very Best of Patsy Cline Everly Brothers The Very Best of The Everly Brothers Lee, Brenda The Best of Brenda Lee
Once the dam had given way, I also added
Bee Gees Best of Bee Gees (This is an album from '69, and thus features the pre-disco Brothers Gibb) Little Richard Rip It Up (c'mon, who doesn't like Little Richard?)
and
Tucker, Tanya What Do I Do with Me? (last of the CDs from my mid-'90s country phase that I've needed to replace since I was burglarized back in '98).
Cei-U! I summon the second wind!

I'm creating a Bjork playlist on Youtube right now, so I'm listening to a lot of Bjork.

In the Hallowe'en spirit, I listened to a few old Alice Cooper albums tonight: Love It to Death, School's Out, and Billion Dollar Babies.
I was put in mind of Alice by seeing him in the Tim Burton Dark Shadows movie the other night. Not sure why I skipped Killer, which was one of my favourites back in the day - might have been was just that I hadn't listened to these three in a long, long time, even longer than for Killer. I don't have a cd copy of the under-rated Muscle of Love, but that one isn't really as horror-influenced as the others anyway. Have never heard the first two that came out before Love it to Death. I think of these Alice Cooper band albums as separate from his solo records like Welcome to My Nightmare (also great).

I love the Wind On The Water track. Too bad they haven't been talking for awhile now. Had a lot of Kool & the Gang back in the day. I added an upgrade of Dr. John The Night Tripper's first two albums. Supposed to be remastered. I wanted something hopefully a notch up from used LPs of these. I love that Jump Sturdy track on the first one! r.i.p. Mac
