Working on data entry so to help keep the brain cells stimulated have Apocalyptica: Wagner Reloaded-Live in Leipzig playing. Fully orchestrated cello heavy rock influenced instrumentals. Makes the old brain stem tingle and buzz it does!!!

Friend of mine (the now fully grown ringbearer from my wedding) is really into Tom Waits and I haven't listed to a lot of Waits, so I have been sampling some this evening...

Just listened to my first "I Read Comic Books" podcast this afternoon. It was from a couple of months back, and they were discussing their favorite and least-favorite X-Men characters. I'm not much of a podcast guy, but with me being unable to read right now, I have to find something to do to pass the time, and one can only nap so much (although I am really pushing that theory the past few days)

Listening to "Horsey" by マクロスMACROSS 82-99 with vocals by Sarah Bonito of the band Kero Kero Bonito (love her voice) - Such an upbeat, bouncy tune. The riff is sampled from this song by T-Square (hey, a comics connection. Go fig), " Circuit Wanderer." The sampled section can be heard at the 1:14 point and a coulpe more times after. I think it sounds slightly different each time, but haven't listened enough to be sure yet. It's really the best part of the song, and almost seems to exist apart from the rest of it. Apparently, Peter Griffin used to be a member of T-Square -

"In the Skies" by Peter Green
I remember buying this album in a $1 bin back in the late 70s. Don't have it on cd now but still recall thinking at the time that it was really good. It was a white cover with a line drawing on it.

I've become quite the fan of Marie Fredriksson in the last couple months. I especially like her solo, Swedish-language material.
