Ok I have a fun topic I think.
A genie pops up and says you get to have any SINGLE comic book you want. In mint condition!
There is no limit to the expense of the book BUT there is a catch.
You, or any of your heirs, or anyone else can never sell the book. If such a time arises where the book is to be moved out of your estate it must be given away for free and the same conditions will follow the new owner(s). So in other words, you (or anyone else) can't ever benefit from this comic book financially.
So what comic book do you choose? Do you pick one for bragging rights? One you love above all others? One that is so rare only one or two copies exist? Or perhaps one you give to a museum one day?
The choice is yours! What do you pick and why?

Not quite a comic book but the collected story board art by Moebius for Jodorowsky's Dune. There are only 2-3 copies of the complete collection in its binder as presented to the studio. It essentially reads as a wordless comic adaptation of Dune funneled through Jodo's vision complete with Moebius art and a few designs by H.R. Giger. Jodo has one seen in the Jodo's Dune documentary, and I am not sure where the others are. here's a screen shot of the binder from the documentary...  -M Edit to add PS: The only way I am getting one of these is if a genie granted me one, because I am not sure a copy would ever go up for sale to get no matter how much money I had anyways. |

Great topic! I vaguely remember a short story with a similar premise. But it was a sinister artifact that you had to sell for LESS than you paid in order to be rid of it and its influence, or some such. For me, the answer is easy:  Cap #1. No desire to profit from it, or dog forbid leave it to one of my comics-deficient heirs (HA!). I am happy to direct that it be donated to a museum though, as Indy recommended.  |

As a Spidey fan, I feel confident saying I doubt I would ever buy Amazing Fantasy #15 but if a genie r allowed me to wish it, I would. I would also asked to be buried or cremated with it so no financial gain to be had.

Mine would be All Star Comics #41 It's historical because it was the 1st Comic Book that featured two females characters/heroes on one cover. It was an landmarked issue and it's one of my favorite stories when I read a reprint of it from a friend of mine. |

Batman #1. I have #8-10 and #100 and up because, years ago, I was going to complete the entire run, but #1 is the sole issue in that stretch there's just no way I'll ever be able to afford.
