Cameo or first full appearance ? I got one that's a rip off. Darkseid's first appearance in Jimmy Olsen # 134 is one panel of just his head on a tv screen. It's the only issue from the Kirby run I don't have, and at the prices they want , I doubt I'll ever get it. Hey Icctrombone, I have a pretty good condition copy. I'd rather it go to a good home, and I'm too lazy to figure out how to sell stuff on ebay anyway. PM me if you're interested (I assume that would be the more appropriate venue to continue the discussion), and I'll let it go for way less than I'm seeing it on ebay.

Deadpool is a TERRIBLE character and has never been funny.
That's probably the closest I get to a "THERE I SAID IT" opinion.
At least when it involves comics...

I'm mildly surprised Demogoblin hasn't made a single reappearance since 1994. Even if he isn't terribly popular, in a genre where dead characters are constantly resurrected for creatively destitute reasons, one would think some writer at some point in the last 25 years would've brought ol' Demo out of retirement.

Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are not a "trinity." They are a trio. There, I said it.

Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are not a "trinity." They are a trio. There, I said it. Actually, the words "trio" and "trinity" can function as virtual synonyms. According to the dictionary... Noun: Trinity; plural noun: trinities a group of three people or things. "the wine was the first of a trinity of three excellent vintages." So, yes, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are a trinity.

Words have connotations as well as denotations, though, and I imagine rberman was getting at the religious ideas associated with the word "trinity" in western culture. From that perspective his statement makes perfect sense, though I'm not sure if I agree with it or not (or care enough one way or another to form an opinion).

Well sure, but obviously the word has more than one meaning. The one I quoted from the dictionary demonstrates that calling those three superheroes a trinity is a perfectly acceptable usage of the word. DC obviously don't mean the word in this context to refer to the Holy Trinity, although I suppose that there could feasibly be some intended allusion to them being God-like beings (although, Batman's hardly God-like). But the fact remains that the words "trio" and "trinity" are virtually interchangeable in this context.

Trinity means three. And, it's just a phrase DC uses for their 3 main heroes. Marvel refers to Thor, Iron Man and Captain America as the Big three.

They are the top dogs (er, gods... curse this dyslexia!) in the DC pantheon. "Trio" wouldn't have cut it. A trio is a jazz combo.

I think of them as DC's Trident: a faintly disgusting yet endlessly chewable gummy substance with no nutritional value.

Deadpool is a TERRIBLE character and has never been funny. Thank you. I am not a fan of the character to any degree. Almost as annoying are the various YouTube channels with members trying to vampire the essence of the character into themselves / be a part of the joke by dressing / acting like the movie version of the character.

I've only read two Deadpool comics in my life, but his overwhelming, obnoxious popularity has been more than enough to make me hate him. Same with Lobo.
