The only incarnation of Jimmy Olsen I ever liked was the TV show version played by Jack Larson. He was a very likable actor and made the character come to life. I thought Larson was too goofy and confused. His every other reaction was something along the lines of, "Well, gee, Superman..." and not much else. Comic Olsen could be naïve, but not like Larson. Its accepted that Adventures of Superman was never going to be some example of rich character studies, but Larson's Olsen was just too stuck in the kind of frozen template cartoon characters like Barney Rubble or Foghorn Leghorn were--they will be that one performance, one gimmick forever, and after a couple of times, that's not fun to watch. Where live action Olsen's are concerned, Mark McClure's Jimmy (from the WB/Donner films) was more along the lines of a better adaptation, as he came off as innocent and somewhat of a go-getter, but he was not running around stumbling his way through everything, mouth agape with confusion in the way of Larson's interpretation.

Archie and DC need to do an Amalgam-style crossover, so Miss Grundy can be reunited with her long lost brother, Solomon!
Also, who wouldn't read Jughead and Matter-Eater Lad?

Like Matter-Eater Lad stands any chance against Forsythe P. Jones, the unstoppable eating machine. What about a Dilton Doiley/Braniac 5 team up against Lex Luthor and the Mechanical Braniac? Anybody wanna see a Hot Dog/Krypto and Salem the Cat/Streaky the Super Cat night out on the town and Ace the Bat Hound has to bail them all out of the City Pound afterwards? Archie/Reggie out on a double date night with Supergirl and Batgirl? Them boys are soooo in trouble. Betty and Veronica doing double duty on chasing/dating the DC red head Jimmy Olsen?

The Hulk should never have gone green. It's a terrible colour for him. He should've stayed gray.

The Hulk should never have gone green. It's a terrible colour for him. He should've stayed gray. Aside from the official reasons why Hulk's color was altered, green simply has more aesthetic appeal, and of course, it adds another inspirational connection to Universal's Frankenstein movies, which were black and white (obviously), but the majority of posters and lobby cards colored him in variations of green. The Hulk already borrowed the flat head and stringy bangs (among other things), so why not continue the visual association?

I sympathise. Wouldn't that be illegal? As far as I know, it is illegal here in Massachusetts, yeah. It's more common with shops to simply not price things at all. Crazy thing is, last time I was there, they had some books I wanted. The yguy wouldn't let me pay the marked price, made a big deal about it. So he spends 10 minutes looking them all up, estimates the price, then cuts me a "deal" on the pile... ...and the total he came up with was exactly the same as the prices marked on the books to begin with. I've been to ALOT of different comic shops from my travelling days.. I feel like those that don't mark their back issues are rare... any store that does so I just walk out. I've never came across a person who had marked prices and tried to not honor them.. that seems to be the height of sleeziness... I'd probably actually report them if they tried to insist.

The Hulk should never have gone green. It's a terrible colour for him. He should've stayed gray. I think Hulk should have stayed smart.. 'Professor Hulk' and the Pantheon days were my favorite version of the character by far.

It'd be like a cab driver looking at his meter and saying, "I know it says £10, but the journey is usually £13-14. Pay up!"
I like the Hulk's smart/Pantheon days, too. But I enjoyed the evolution of the character during Peter David's run. I think change is good. It gets boring otherwise. I like the "Savage Hulk", but after 100+ issues of him battling air force personnel/the threat of the month, that could get tedious for a long-time reader. So having him become gray, and then smart, and then return to savage, keeps it all fresh!

I loooove goofy but the bright green Hulk is just a tad too much, even for me - the grey works better for a more somber/dark suspense vibe, which is my preferred approach to the character. Iirc guess it was just a problem with the inking that caused him to change, not any actual aesthetic reasons. And I do believe that Marvel in the early '60s colored their black characters the same shade of "Hulk grey" which.... isn't great for Bruce Banner racial connotation-wise. I

It'd be like a cab driver looking at his meter and saying, "I know it says £10, but the journey is usually £13-14. Pay up!" A smart retailer will give a markdown from the online price. Otherwise, you'll just skip him next time and order from the online store in the first place, rather than paying the additional opportunity cost of driving to his shop.

I can only imagine someone staying to see what the shop owner decides the price is , if it's a book they've wanted for a long time. If the price is more than you want to pay, you can always walk out.
