Spidey as a Mets fan? I’m sure those are fighting words in many New York households. But wasn’t Peter Parker from Queens? Hotbed of Mets fandom. Makes sense.

I thought that was a "genetically engineered actress" (or some such stupid Byrnecon). That's basically right, but she did actually die...I mean, she was intended to have really died when J.M. DeMatteis wrote Amazing Spider-Man #400. It's just that that was undone by Byrne, as you say. Oh so that's the man I need to send my hate mail to. ;-)

You can find anything on the Internet! www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20160524/willets-point/map-see-where-mets-yankees-fans-live-city/As you can see, most Yankee fans live beyond the city, probably in NJ. No surprise there, as the number of basements inhabited in Jersey by 30-40-year-old men who are on hold to talk to sports radio hosts for several hours each afternoon is at an all-time high.

Rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for Walmart.

There are more Yankee fans than Met fans in NY. Mostly of the front runner type, not knowledgeable fans, just fans of winning.

Yankees seem to be the default team for places that don't have alocal team.

I'm thinking about Batman villains that didn't show up much, some may have only showed up once.
For example, Dr No-Face, The Terrible Trio, Doctor Doom (no, not that one), etc. Did they ever reappear?
And has Rainbow Raider shown up anywhere in recent years?

Terrible Trio appeared twice. (In the old days, not sure if maybe someone like Grant Morrison revived them.) Doom and No-Face but once each. Not sure about RR.

Ah, they returned? Thank you. Love that second cover.
Not to be too self-indulgent, but I seem to recall a comic from my youth where some guy had rocket-like roller-skates while battling Batman, Robin and possibly Hawkman. Googling hasn't helped. Maybe I imagined it...

A revamped Terrible Trio were villains in the 1999 Doctor Mid-Nite mini-series. They also popped up in a funny G'nort story in Green Lantern Corps Quarterly, where they spoke in interlocking sentence fragments a la Huey, Dewey and Louie.
Cei-U! Wish they'd used them on the '60s TV show!

When I hear "Terrible Trio" I think of Aquaman #24 (1965)--this Trio consisted of the fiery flame-haired Karla...the Invisible Un-Thing...and the Fisherman with his far-reaching, expandable fishing rod. What a--er-- fantastic group of adversaries!
