What happened to Conan at the end? They just stopped caring , I guess.

Also to be fair to Grindberg this is his more current stuff... doing the art for Roy Thomas' & Ron Marz's Tarzan strips he's good, but that Marvel House style he adopted is terrible. But it's what Marvel wanted at the time... -M

It's funny about Grindberg, he used to be realistic in his artwork ala Neal Adams. These examples look more cartoony.

Man, the Marvel house style in the '90s sucked ass. Sucked it, inhaled it, swallowed it, and shat it back out again. Another reason I stopped collecting well before that.

I'd stopped buying comics in about 1989 or so...not because of any particular dislike of what was going on in the industry, it was more that I was more interested in music and girls at that point in my life. I came back to comics slowly in 1995 and 1996, buying good stuff like Astro City, Untold Tales of Spider-Man and the Vertigo Jonah Hex series. I didn't fully get back into buying comics regularly until around 2001 or so. So, I thankfully missed a lot of what was on the stands in the '90s, especially the early '90s.

The 90's was like Galactus. It came to see if the comic collector could survive a calamity and continue. We survived and didn't even need an Ultimate nullifier.

This cover makes me cringe. I think it is the weird usage of grey scale photo children. That and the one in Shazam's lap looks like a 10 year old boy stuffed in a 4 year old's onesy. The infinity cover is the only moderately interesting thing happening but it is reproducing an ugly cover again and again. The worst!
