Julie Strain, B-Movie Actress has passed away at 57.She not dead ... her film company informed the world and her death was misinformed and Hollywood Reporter and Malibu Film Company declared that her death was false and she is still alive.

Terry Jones, of Monty Python fame, has passed away at the age of 77.
Much as I want to reference Holy Grail for the "Bring out your dead" scene or make a parrot joke, I'll refrain, even though I'd like to believe Jones would be amused by the legacy he and his troupe mates left.

A very funny man who directed my favorite Python movie. He was also a brilliant documentary presenter melding an obvious love of history with his trademark humor. Now for a bit of spam, egg, sausage and spam.

MMmmmmmmmmmm
Maybe now he'll get that gas cooker connected up.....
Lest we forget, Jones was more than just a member of Python. He wrote a noted work examining Chaucer's The Knight's Tale, which stirred a lot of interest in the academic world. He was a student of medieval history and presented programs on the subject. He collaborated with Brian Froud on his Goblins books, as well as Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book (and sequels). He wrote children's stories and presented a documentary about the Rupert Bear series, a classic in the UK. He also wrote a series of columns critical of the British government's involvement in the second Gulf War.
Writer, director, performer....the full Renaissance bit.
Now he and Graham Chapman can do "pepper pots" in the afterlife. Mmmmmm....oh, dear.............I do like that.......
Thanks for the laughs.

I really loved The Ripping Yarns he wrote! He's been missed for all the historical programs as well, and that Charlie Chaplin one was also very enjoyable. :^(

I was just watching some interviews with Michael Palin, talking about Terry; how the heck did I miss that Palin was given a knighthood last year? I always figured it was down to him or Cleese (and then I read that Cleese turned down a CBE and a peerage).
Terry should have been made a Dame, for services to middle-aged female lunacy.
It's hard to feel sad about Terry's passing, as most memories of him are delightfully silly. I'm sorry for his suffering in recent years; but, he lived a rather joyful and fulfilled life.

John Cleese's tweet, at the passing of Terry J: 2 down, 4 to go. I hope Tery J's memorial service will be as raucous as Graham Chapman's. Preferably with the Python's all as "pepperpots."

Just saw the news that long-time newsman and co-founder of the PBS NewsHour Jim Lehrer has died. Saw that not too long ago; a nice calming voice in a sea of Infotainment.
